Collabing with an idol group doesn't make you an idol. Mutliple female members have had shows they co-hosted with actual idols and I think one of the AKB48 sister groups did a Nijisanji collab last year too with a big group of Nijisanji members. What I am getting at is that she could have very much presented herself as an idol vtuber if she wanted to and made that an integral part of her identity I believe, because there are members of Nijisanji that have done that.

Yes and no. Technically jp idols are based on the French idol scene from back in the 70s, which was itself based on 50s and 60s corporate music acts from the US. In brief idols are hired based on looks and marketability with actual talent taking a back seat, a la early 2000s boy and girl bands (NSYNC, B*Witched, All Saints, Boyz0ne, etc). However a lot of the big idol groups (most notably AKB48 and its sister units) do their best to encourage parasocial relationships with fans in order to boost sales and guarantee a legacy audience. The downside to this gfe model is that the girls are basically disposable with bullying, abuse, predatory pay practices, and what is effectively forced compensated dating being the rule. The more "normal" idol groups are also generally scummy but in a regular music industry way, not an Epstein island way. Ironically nijisanji's company culture reflects idol culture more faithfully than the "idol" company Hololive.

Honestly just sounds like AKB's strat of expanding and adding sister groups and within those sister groups are the individual teams. Like Hololive is AKB48 proper and JP/EN/ID are Team A/K/B. DEV_IS is their SKE expansion.

Since hololive is based on AKB48 we can infer what regions hololive may be interested in expanding in based on AKB48 sister groups.

Yeah I doubt the idea of collabing with any idol group would be turned down outright. NijiJP has done it multiple times. Uiha has done it, NijiJP has done it as a group with one of the AKB48 sister groups. But I can imagine specific idols groups getting a no maybe due to autistic shit like label/management affiliations and stuff like that Anycolor is affiliated with Sony while that group is signed to whatever or the terms of contract not being acceptable to the Anycolor or something.

That is too damn fast. Saturation is a bad thing.
Not enough time to be firmly planted and build a base. Every 6-8 months would be much better. It allows up to two groups or so per year. Lots of time to get solid footing.
Slow and steady wins the race, Quality > Quantity.

I feel like people think Idols in Japan are treated like chaebol backed KPop idols or that it's still the early '10s or whatever.
Quit spouting nonsense about shit you don't know anything about, the stuff that AKB48 or their sister groups pull off is in the minority in the incredibly diverse idol scene and even they've toned the restrictions down.
It honestly sounds like your entire understanding of idolculture basically boils down to "dating ban, purityfags, act perfect"
