So I have NO idea how you got "most of them are in the southwest". Only Calli and Ame technically count for sure, there are more to the northwest of the US but even the time it'd take to get from Portland or Seattle to Los Angeles would be way longer than going from Hokkaido to Nagasaki reliably (not to mention the price of air fare compared to paying for the shinkansen).
