After today, there is practically no difference b/w Hololive and Nijisanji. Today was basically HoloJP's equivalent event to EN's Tempus debut. It is all recline from here on out.

NTA but I think a lot of people are missing the forest from the trees here. Pekora's merch run from last year (back when you could cheese Covers website to see their stock) earned her a solid million. Even runts like Aki and Choco push upwards to 50k-100k on stupid shit like cook books. There's a reason why Kson couldn't continue on as an indie despite her SCs being solid even after she graduated, she needed help in merch distribution and connections that only a corpo could give her (one of the few things I'll commend VS management for). Hell, you can even look outside of the vtuber industry and refer to irl events like when George Lucas outsmarted fox by surrendering box office sales for his star wars films in return for merchandising rights. Merch is and should always be your top source of income assuming you have the means to produce it. Hell, the nijigirls and boys earn a lot from SC and streamlabs but it sure as hell ain't touching a mil in less than a month, especially with the general recline of SC culture across the board.

The point of the entire "Miko/Salome" thing is that Miko managed to scrap out a win or two and managed to hold Salome off and prevent Niji from winning gold for the month. In fact, Miko is the only chuuba to actually claim a win over Salome during Salome's insane debut period. By the time Pekora came back Salome was already into her recline.
