Quick summation, vrchat sperg and perv roflgator wanted a piece of her numbers when she used to frequent his venue with other vtubers. So put her up to trying to get a mute featured as part of her streams. Her community and us saw through it and went hard on him for doing it, he took it deeply personal and further alienated Layna and Filian and they both left his vrchat dive. Roflgator has shown all the traits of a severe form of personality disorder and has been here since for at least two years. Sperging out at the main poster who called him out in the first place by idiotically created gatorschizo as a straw man and excuse to stalk posters with urges to self-terminate for over a year. Despite already being that low, their mental health has continued to decline since then and they still stalk posts as being from gatorschizo and seethe about Filian and Layna to the point of pathological obsession. Most recently having a major melty during Filian's wrestling stream commentary segment. Last but not least, Grimmi was scheduled to appear on one of his more recent date night streams and she backed out but that indicates that he and Seth know each other.

My point was that I just wouldn't be able to see her as a potential partner or anything, which yeah, somewhat based on her stage persona of course, but it's also based on the more vulnerable moments and little nuggets of reality we get sometimes, as well as Layna's description of meeting Fil (that being on their first meeting fil was so shy she was practically mute)

I’m neither gatorschizo or the kys guy but the condensed history is that around summer ‘22 rolf was doing some outreach into the wider indie vtuber community in order to grift some more viewers and one of the chuubas he latched onto was layna cause she was doing a lot of vr stuff at the time. The schizo trigger was when he got Layna to bring a mute onto her stream which a load of people (both in her community and in this thread) thought it was weird and guessed that gator was behind it. After everyone else figured it out gatorschizo came in and made a bunch of unhinged theories about it and a little while after that he started believing that roflgator had pinpointed who he was and directed his minions to start gang stalking him for ‘uncovering the truth’.

Put it this way, I could see it also having been the way Filian acted during the shared irl stream when they were staying together. Even then though, it seemed more like Layna wanted a break after that and not to quit being friends with Filian but there are clear indications that Layna would have been put off by Filian associating with them again. She mentioned herself that she wouldn't involve herself with them anymore, which makes me wonder what else might have gone on behind the scenes. She implies that she could go into more detail on the subject, maybe she even knows that roflgator frequents here. Thinking back to Mute drams, we were the ones who criticized the concept before she tried to have one on stream and I get the sense both from how it made no sense for her stream and how she acted when she pitched it that roflgator put her up to it. It fits that he'd spiral into extreme obsession and resentment over that not having worked out and the result being that it totally back-fired for him. Furthermore, the fact that someone went so hard in on creating an alter-ego of gatorschizo for the purpose of gaslighting, defaming and mocking those arguing that he does fuck around here and holds a vendetta against Layna, Filian and /lig/ speaks volumes.

Not sure what you mean by ugly-bastarded but it does seem that the odds are high that roflgator has had a major hate-boner for Layna and Filian because they ended up focusing on doing streams between themselves and other vtubers and stayed away from his vrchat. Then there was the mute drama. People had been saying well before then that the guy loses his shit if people don't play by his rules. Classic profile of a malignant narcissist really.

Going to get called gatorschizo for this but it does make sense that Layna would have been riding high on being around Filian and genuinely enjoyed her company when she was being more mellow. Yet, there were times when Flian went too far. Even with that, the anti posting against her started in after the mute incident and no one every gives reasons of any merit, It's just insistence that she's a bad-person divorced of how she actually conducts herself. In light of that, who would have reason for trying to throw her good-standing under a bus in repetitious fashion?

In this case though, Filian did give Layna reason for feeling hurt and slighted, even though it didn't seem so much out of malice, it was still impish and shows she would do well too take some careful self-reflection.

Even without her being worried about getting sick -rather you call it covid or the flue something is going around and if she had gone to Hole in the Wall, you'd be seething that she risked infecting more people because covid is something people like you try and weaponize to your advantage- It would still be fair for Layna to want to take some time away from Filian and not appear on the show not just out of feeling miffed by Filian but also making sure she gets the message that her acting that inconsiderate and impulsive has consequences and people will only take it from you for so far and so long.

In Layna's case, it was the whole mute thing and her realizing that your community wasn't a healthy place to be around. You clearly seethe at them both because they broke away from your influence and have been in a downward spiral of hate-posting about them since.
