Updated FAQ -

> Q. Why do you guys sometimes have a non-VTuber OP?
Site culture originally inherited from old /vyt/. Over time OPs have become just Hololive girls due to anons' laziness and because they have the biggest numbers. OP wars have died out long ago among the flood of other shitposts. "Kiss the ring to acknowledge Hololive domination, and THEN you may discuss other chuubas here" is the general mood here nowadays.
We will usually have one OP with the Gold winner around the time the tally is posted however - usually followed by lewds of said winner posted by fans.
> Q. Gold? Tally? Whuh?
We have many tallies that we horse race with (horse racing being comparing the peak CCVs of two streams) : The global tally, the cripple gold tally (EN Youtube only), the Raspberry tally etc. Winners obviously get medals (which have no effect outside this thread, simply for fun). Tallies are posted by anons like you and me, so they might not always be consistent (save for the global tally dwarf too OP).
General rule is that streams that start between 00:00 and 23:59 Japan time will be counted for that day. Any stream that gets above 10k will appear in the Global Tally, EN streams above 5k will appear on the cripple tally, and HoloEN/NijiEN streams below 1k will appear in the raspberry tally.
If a stream starts close to, but before 24:00, any peaks it has until 25:00 (aka 1am JP time next day) will be counted for the purposes of the tally.
Fleshie dominant streams were a grey area for a while, but now as long as it's on a tracked VTuber channel with at least one VTuber participating in some form, it will be counted.
> Q. What are those graphs that some anons post?
Peak CCV over time. See the list at the start of the thread for the sites where you can find it. Vrabi and Vstats are the main ones we use. See top of thread for other sites.
> Q. Why use peaks? Why not averages?
Peaks allow for a lot more exciting minute-by-minute horseraces. Averages are too slow and boring.
> Q. Why no twitch numbers?
Twitch allows many things that inflate their stream numbers like embeds, multi-tab vieweing counting for both tabs, muted streams counting etc. which Youtube does not.
Thus, Youtube and Twitch numbers are not directly comparable. Anyone doing so will be treated like a shitposter.
Twitch-only tally is sometimes posted, but twitch numberfagging is usually done in /lig/. /#/ is more Youtube centric.
> Q. Why do you guys have so many schizos?
This is the central hub for general discussion about VTubers and the VTuber industry. Numbers can be affected by a myriad of things surrounding VTubers, the industry, and even certain world events (/pol/shit is obviously not welcome when there's no connection to chuubas).
Naturally, if someone wants to find/post news/drama and discuss events, /#/ is the first place to go, second being the catalog - which gets most of its posts from here, and now /news/.
Browsing /#/ is not for the weak or easily baited anons. There are occasions where the thread is 80% spam and shitposts (which sometimes result in mass [Deleted] events) and there's always someone trying to pit random fanbases against each other with falseflags, and there's also the occasional raid from random holoanti discords.. all of which you will have to learn to identify Report, Hide, Ignore and Filter (mentally or otherwise) if you want to have a good experience browsing the thread.
Your oshi WILL get shit on at some point, either for her numbers or for her stream content, or for some random schizo headcanon. Sometimes there's ironic shitposting from fans of chuubas as well, if the topic is funny enough.
If you are the type to be easily triggered by random shitposts about your oshi, this is not the thread for you.
But when there are no schizos around, /#/ is also the best place for nuanced discussion about VTubers and tangentially V-Tuber related stuff. There's even the rare 2view discussion when someone brings it up and if it's an interesting enough topic.
> Q. "Can you guys take your schizos back/ STOP SHITTING UP OUR THREAD!!" etc.
We take no responsibility for "our" schizos in other threads. We didn't really ask for them either and hold no control over what threads they choose to shit up, including ours.
> Q. What is CCVID/King/Emperor/Z/worm/MOST/DORYAAA etc.
The history, culture and memes of a thread that's been going since the earliest days of /vt/ can hardly be conveyed through a single text post. Lurk more, and do your archive reps. Anons are tsundere however, and if you ask nicely they will probably spoonfeed you while shitting on you.
> Q. Why do you guys hate holostars/nijis/vshojo etc.?
Long history of fans of these groups (and sometimes the VTubers themselves) hating Hololive, their fans, and anime culture in general. And of course, said fans shitting up this thread.
These groups occasionally get nuanced discussion but only if it's started in good faith.

Kanae had become the overall No 1 gold winner of the year, with that 10/11 streak
The Cr Valo cup and the Stogra server resetting killed a lot of his numbers in the 2nd third though, many other JP indies eating his GTA viewers.
Lilpa made a comeback, to tie it at 54 Gold each. Ine in 3rd with 34.
Ayatsuno Yuni is the biggest vtuber missing this month. Not sure why she's on an extended streaming break, but she's active on YouTube and Twitter.

Anon, ultimately this site has always chased big numbers, and most of that comes from the JP side which are all on Youtube.
Youtube removed dislikes, culled EN and JP and had a whole CCVID arc, and we seethed about all of it quite a bit.
But in the end, we're at the whims of Youtube when it comes to this stuff, and our tally has always been based off on Youtube chuubas as well.
VTubing is Virtual "Youtube"ing after all, twitch was never even in the conversation.

Make a separate twitch tally and discuss it if you want, but the way the numbers are counted are too different to include both the sites under the same tally. And in any case, the tally will not change no matter how much anyone seethes or bots or does whatever.
It is the one constant that ties the thread together.

it has nothing to do with bijou seeing as it would been piss easy to prevent her gold from the day before
This is the IM/TwitchvsYoutube tally retard trying to get twitch numbers accepted in the EN tally.
His idea is that if he bots enough EN streams he will "prove" that YouTube numbers are as meaningless as twitch numbers.

it's funny because IM's avg reclined so much that they use peak viewers now. which is perfect for IM who streams long hours and is a raid baby.

> commandments
That looks more like an FAQ than a commandments list.
I suppose we can have our own version as well.

> Q. Why do you guys have a non-VTuber OP?
Site culture inherited from old /vyt/ to prevent half the thread being shitflinging about which VTuber should be on the OP.

Thus, Youtube and Twitch numbers are not directly comparable. Anyone doing so will be treated like a shitposter.
Twitch-only tally is sometimes posted, but twitch numberfagging is usually done in /lig/. /#/ is more Youtube centric.

Lots of history behind it, mostly involving attacks on Hololive talents/fans, attempts to ruin the existing culture of Hololive, collab begging and attacking the girls under their VODs/clips/reddit etc. (like most of this board, /#/ is filled with holofans first and foremost - HOLOBOARD, HOLOTHREAD etc. etc.).
Most of their content is also not something anons here prefer, so shilling them here may have the opposite effect.
It's rare, but there are times when nuanced discussion about Niji, Holostars, VShojo etc. happens. Rare because most of these fanbases come here simply to shit up the thread and almost always attack holos in their posts.
In general, they have all but exhausted any goodwill the community had with them, so any discussion about them on this thread will likely always be negative in tone.

In Kanae's case, he's always had a Twitch presence but only recently moved there dominantly for the GTA content.
He's pretty good in endurance so, plus the way Twitch counts viewers much more leniently than Youtube, so his watched hours completely mogged all other Vtubers for Septermber.

Isegye was the ruler of Twitch tally before yet Kanae got like 20 golds for September because, surprise surprise, an actual prominent JP chuuba will mog the infantile KR and EN Vtubers that is on Twitch

Nah Vod Tally still gets posted at the end of the month by that one autist
Daily vod tally is too time consuming even if its just hololive
A good example would be the Youtube and Twitch EN tally that only gets posted when henya debuted and when IM does a subathon

People will give you all sorts of answers but these are the main ones:
1. Very few people here watch or care about Twitch, maybe 20% max
2. No aggregator site, you actually have to do work to keep track of Twitch
3. Different methodology for Twitch vs Youtube public display numbers
4. Twitch vtubers are kinda irrelevant, they'd be lucky to get global gold maybe twice a year with concerts, and that's a big maybe. The main reason people want them is to put Ironmouse on the top of the EN tally, and annoy all the Holo EN fans here

A combined Twitch/Youtube EN tally gets posted every so often. Haven't seen it in a while though.
