what the hell do you think killed the hype?! They did, with their fucking weeb autism deciding to just full stop their careers at the height of their popularity to move to japan and court a new fanbase over the one that made them a huge success to begin with. It was mind bogglingly stupid, one of the dumbest things I've ever seen a chuuba do.

For me – their move to Japan.
The biggest comparative advantage FWMC had was their work ethic. Especially compared to the rest of the industry that's choke full of zoomer bitches that want to do whatever feels fun that day, rather than grinding out streams day in and day out like a job that streaming is.
Fuwamoco were the EN content machine, always having a full schedule, rarely bailing on it and providing a regular, predictable stream of content. It was good for them financially too, since they built a fanbase that was in a habit of checking out their content and throwing money at them every single day.
I particularly enjoyed FWMC morning, watching every episode as I get my morning coffee, like I did with AsaCoco once upon a time.

It all broke down with their move. There hasn't been a morning show in a month. Gaps started widening between streams. We even get less posts on Xitter.
I don't know and frankly don't care what caused it. Was it the move itself (you had 3 months to fix your living situation, that is PLENTY, why the hell didn't you?), the rapid increase in dance and singing lessons (you are a streamer first and foremost, the idol dream should be long dead and burried) or just the realization during their break that they could coast like most other ENs and still get a decent paycheck.
I let my membership run out last week and don't intend to go back unless they return back to their regular groove.

The trifecta strategy is optimum for modern location-independent business owners like cryptobros or vtubers. The concept is simple. Rotate your residence between three (or more!) different countries throughout the year, never staying long enough in each to become a tax resident, and domicile your corporate structure in an offshore tax haven. You’ll need to acquire multiple citizenships for the travel and nationality benefits to execute this strategy.

Your first citizenship will be the one of your native country. If you’re lucky it will be an A-tier English speaking nation that uses a territorial tax regime: Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or the UK. If you’re an American, while your passport is A-tier and you have unlimited access to the world’s largest economy, the taxation regime is oppressive and bank reporting requirements will cause inconvenience (and you cannot, per US law, legally molest 13 year old girls in Thailand should you be into that). EU nations are also generally A-tier and are a good foundation for this strategy, although limiting for another reason that will be discussed shortly. Japan is considered A-tier, although Japan nominally disallows dual citizenship. Another overlooked foundation is an Asian passport, as those are generally quite difficult to get relative to other citizenships, can serve to establish a good regional base in Asia, and may offer regional benefits in other ASEAN nations, for example. If you are unlucky, it’s something nearly worthless like Pakistan or an African country.

Next, you’ll want a second citizenship. This is where starting with an EU citizenship becomes limiting, because you can often get citizenship by descent from European nations if you have ancestors from Europe (if you aren’t brown). Importantly, this can be done without establishing residence and naturalizing, which saves time and avoids becoming a tax resident in an EU nation. There is little benefit to having a German and Italian passport, as either confers freedom of movement in Schengen and travel benefits are nearly identical. Having a Canadian and Italian passport, however, opens up both Canada and the EU. The one exception is acquisition of an Irish passport and another EU passport, as that opens up the Common Travel Area. Citizenship by investment can also accomplish this goal, either through Malta’s program or the now defunct Portuguese program.

It’s often considered that three passports is the minimum to accomplish a trifecta strategy. For the third, you’ll want to diversify to a B-tier or C-tier passport. You can often accomplish this through citizenship by investment programs, under which you pay a bribe…I mean, make a contribution to the national economic development fund of a country. Several Caribbean nations offer this, and one can become a citizen of St. Lucia or another island by contributing $100 000 without setting foot on the island, which also provides freedom of movement within the Caribbean Community nations. Moldova is viewed as a cheap backdoor into the EU on its eventual accession and opens up Russia and the CSTO to visa free travel; this can be obtained for 100 000€. A Turkish passport can be obtained with a $400 000 investment in real estate which allows travel throughout the Middle East.

Let’s say you started with an Australian passport and acquired Irish citizenship by descent and purchased citizenship in St. Kitts and Nevis. You could set up your holding corporation in one of the Caribbean Community nations for the reduced tax rate, and could rotate between nations, using Ireland, St. Kitts and Nevis, and Australia as regional bases while never spending long enough in one country to gain tax residency. You could spend northern hemisphere summers at your home in Ireland with proximity to Europe, fly to your home in Australia in the fall with proximity to southeast Asian destinations, and move to your home in the Caribbean with proximity to the US and the Mercosur nations after the Atlantic hurricane season had ended.

Of course, vtubing requires only an internet connection to generate revenue and you could invest in interest or dividend producing instruments in tax advantaged domiciles to diversify your income streams. All this while sampling the variety offered by blonde Scandinavians, brown Southeast Asian women, and black Caribbean fertility goddesses.

This is the general concept.

Does Mike treats filling law suits in Japan as gacha pulls? After 10 million yen down the drain and all the fucking losses she's been handled in court you would think she would learn from her losses and move on, seriously what the fuck is wrong with this woman.

>there is no denying that their sub count would have continued to rise just as fast if not faster had they kept things the same
Retard.
Absolute fucking moron.
Your claim is completely baseless and in fact contradicted by reality.
They were stagnating already before the move (to the point where it wasn't even sure if they could reach 1M before 2025) and picked up the pace a lot after JP collabs.
Move to Japan was definitely good for them, it's just that they took a lot longer to set up than expected and will miss the 1M in one year deadline. Still, they had zero chance of achieving it at home.

I'll try to move to japan next year. I wanted to do it sooner, but I'm a neet and I don't have enough money, so I decided to start working to earn enough to move and live there for some years.
I won't spend a lot of money, I'll only eat cheap konbini food and I'll sleep in a manga cafe. Any more recommendations to live there cheaply?
My hope is that I'll be able to find them some day, and if I do, I'll try to find out where they are staying.
I'm NOT a stalker, I just want to make sure that they are safe. I want them to be able to go outside without having to fear any schizo ruffian trying to harm them (we sadly have too many of those).
I want to be their guardian angel. I won't interact with them and I'll NEVER hurt them, so don't worry.
I made a schedule of the times when they are probably doing dance practice, and the times when they could be going to a konbini to buy stuff. I also have a map with the areas where they could be.
I don't want to give more details about this because I don't want any schizos to use it to stalk them.
I know it's probably a pipe dream, but I'm really motivated to at least give it a try for a year or two.
Wish me luck.

Tech, not getting more specific than that. Basically any international company with capital installs or software that needs local support will have offices in most regions including Japan. I don't think a total newbie could do the move, but I got lucky maybe. As long as you're still supporting them it makes sense to be flexible to cross pollinate skillsets. My hours are gonna be fucked to meet both timezones split

It's obviously not a coincidence, idols are supposed to inspire people. Seeing them achieve their dream of living in Japan made other people feel compelled to try again on something every weeb thought of but 99,5% gave up on without even trying.
How many ruffians were trying to move to Canada before this? Nobody wants to live there.

I can't believe it I actually convinced my job to allow me to relocate to the Japan branch. Kudos to the anon that suggested selling it as a way to be a conduit between the two offices (current one and Japan one). I start in September, not sure how I can pack up my life and move but will figure it out and it will be worth it. I've got August off so may even try to move in temporarily sooner

They have been courting the gachikoi/unicorns since debut, taking advantage of the mentally ill does get you the most money but the backlash is also pretty real when you do something they dont like, FWMC already had a little taste of it with that Japan move.
