You can play Genesis games on the 32X without this problem.

If I buy it second-hand (which is the only way to buy retro games), the developers won't make any money off it anyway.

A lot of Genesis games (the only ones that come to mind right now are Vectorman and Zero Tolerance) and I think even some SNES games.

I have OCD and I also used to obsess about exactly this, it's almost uncanny. Think of it this way: it doesn't matter as long as you have fun. That's what video games are for anyway, aren't they. If that doesn't help, realize that it's impossible to "not cheat" because even your specific set of genetics have already given you an advantage over someone else at video games. You might've been born with a better reaction time or better strategic thinking than person x, so playing against them, you're already at an unfair advantage. So my advice is just enjoy the game and realize that you already saw the map or whatever and there's nothing you can do about it now.

Not dithering. He's probably talking about how sprites look more like what they're supposed to represent when blurry as opposed to when they're made of giant, clear-cut squares.

And why is upscaling a good thing? You like playing NES games with giant blocky pixels? Not only is there no advantage, it's worse.

>Native digital video/audio out
Famicom has it.
>normally in HD resolutions & specs
Meaningless because NES games are not HD.
>console-native input lag
Famicom has it.
>the ability to load games from SD
You already said it, flashcart.

What do you mean CRT crusade? You just admitted that CRTs are better by stating that regular TVs read 240p as 480i. Isn't using CRTs the sensible thing to do by that logic?

Wtf is H Interp. Is there any feature on these NES clones that's actually better than the original hardware? I don't know much about NT, AVS, all that stuff, but what about it makes it so much better. HDMI? As another anon already stated, that doesn't make a damn difference when the games are 224p.

I don't know Japanese, but you barely need to unless playing RPGs. If the game has some story but not enough to be an RPG, I usually play the American or translated version first, or just look up what it means.

>> No.4973729 [View]

>>4973719
Nope. I just play whichever region the game is originally from. Same goes for US, UK, France, or any other country.

What's underage about preferring a console from 1983 to a console from 1985 and it's "mini" version from 2016?

Basedboy detected. Did you get your wife's son into retro games using the Raspberry Pi?
