As for the thread, I've recently replayed and finally finished Goemon Ganbare 2 fo sfc some 24 years after initially playing it, and was surprised there was no english translation. It's not a problem for 2 as it's extremely straightforward, but 3 is way text heavier (and even 4 can be a chore); so I'd say any of these

I got the sequel like 2 months ago, and it was our first time playing, while we were both very familiar with the first one (tho we hadn't played it in more than 20 years)

I did get a lot worse at old vidya:
when I got both Chip'n'Dale and Duck Tales for cheap in 1993, I remember playing finishing both of them first try. Now last week we did finish Chip'n'Dale in one sitting and easily, but I tried playing Duck Tales a couple years ago and got a game over pretty fast

I'm French, and I remember the game being quite popular here too; then again there was no internet back then, so maybe it was only popular in my neighbourhood lol.
I used to play it a lot at a restaurant right next to my hose that had an arcade machine which at one point had a selection of nes games. Boght the game a coupes years later circa 1993 when the SNES replaced the NES and my local game store was selling it for cheap (alongside Duck Tales which I got at the same time).

Fuck I miss the mid to late 90s when Nes consoles and games were a dime a dozen at yard sales
