Perfection is a myth. Once you figure out the service menu, a consumer Trinitron with YPbPr "component" inputs and a Chinese RGB transcoder will give you essentially identical performance to a PVM.

This is one of my all time favorite video game magazine ads

>Yes, we're aware that you can't actually buy this game because SoJ didn't ship anywhere close to enough units - but they also told us to advertise it so...

Objectively, no. Only for novelty and/or deepening your appreciation of the development process.

These. Blue Burst is the only rational answer. GameCube version was really cool for a long time, 4 player split screen on my projector used to be pretty impressive but it's 2023 and you probably have four computers stacked up in a closet that can run Blue Burst.

On GameCube you basically have to hack and assume that other players are hacking, which is not the game you probably want to be playing.

Realistically though, handheld are where it's at. I'm eager for the GKD Classic Plus Metal to start shipping but my Rg280v is typically my go-to. Pocketability is a major thing for actually finding time to play.

That's not Seamless RE2, it's RE1.5 - That character is Elza not Claire.

It's not a remake, it's a texture pack. It's made to patch the PC or GameCube vanilla releases. I was hoping somebody would have a prepatched ISO to link but I guess I'll spend an hour doing that since the Surface I got off eBay I was going to reinstall Windows on tonight turned out to be junk

My 5 year old is just always all up in my face "Daddy you want play (Roblox) Doors?" and I'm like no, but you know what you might like? RE2.

He was playing PSO with me when he was 3.

It's fucking dented. The streets are piled with burning wreckage and you assume that seam is a rendering mistake?

Yeah, which is to say it's objectively the best way to play the original unmolested game engine. If I want to downscale it back to 240p on the way out of my rig that's my business.

Seamless uses AI upscaling. Is /tg/ unaware of this project? The flavor I'm getting from this thread is people have found $5 Trinitrons at Goodwill and are smugly deluding themselves as to their universal superiority.

Oh shit, I made a too parallel thread without checking the catalog my bad.

Anyway, any of you nerds know where I can get a prepatched full download of Seamless? Dolphin or PC version, don't matter.

Sup /vr/ - is there a source for prepatched RE2 seamless?

Also Resident Evil thread

It was universally rated mediocre by critics at the time and Nintendo's decision to bundle it with its strategy guide at a price point to match was the nail in its coffin.

It's current bizarre grail-like status is literally an artificial scarcity created by speculative investors who bought copies by the case full and have been sitting on them for a couple decades, although I think they've cashed out now and last I saw prices were way down from the peak of the insanity.

Give it exactly and I mean exactly the right power to its power supply and STILL be prepared for more than one of its many very small surface mount capacitors to leak only the PCB

This. Nesticle was a goddamn miracle back in the mid 90s and it's "lol bloody balls" UI was part of the charming package as were little glitches you might run into. Back in the day we thought "oh, that's interesting. That must be some kind of special effect that is implemented wrong" not "omg unplayable junk wtf is wrong with this developer" entitlement

Those stickers are specifically designed to destroy the game if someone tries to remove them. It might be possible but know the risks before you start.

All the dialog in Aconcagua was already in English. If like to get translations of those Twilight Syndrome series games - but I still haven't beaten Racing Lagoon or Moon Remix so...

Sometimes those kind of multicarts only have one save area so you might find yourself only able to play one RPG at a time and saving a different game might overwrite the save for the other game. You should just go for a cloned version of the Everdrive which should be super cheap like in that $40 range you're already posting about and much more modern designed or a good clone of a current version SD2SNES
