It might be some of what's on the disk, but there's supposed to be some kind of application/game I believe.

>>1148179
It has something to do with old macintosh architecture, apparently you need an old macintosh to read old 800kb macintosh floppy disks.

I'm still looking for a way to get the contents out. I may have found a guy with an old macintosh from where I can transfer the contents to a disk or other floppy. I'll try to fix it as soon as possible.

Nah, I tried using a USB floppy disk drive but it turns out it's some weird mac 800k floppy that really only works in real macs.

If I get a hold of an old mac, I'll post whatever's in it asap.

I still have that. Can't rip it though since I need an old-ass mac.

I'm waiting for a usb floppy disk drive to arrive, it's taking way more time than it should. Hopefully it'll be here by monday.
From the letter the floppy disk was in, it seems to be a program for Mac 6.07~, and that you "double click to bring sound and animation to life". It also seems to contain Sato's own font, OS COMPU BOLD.

I'm talking about the floppy disk that's included in Osamu Sato's book. As far as I know, I'm the only one in these threads who has it. It's unrelated to Chu-Teng.

Have people lost interest or is everyone too busy during workdays? I haven't really been able to help in any way, so I'm just waiting. Hopefully I'll be able to rip the floppy disk on monday.

I didn't bother getting this far since people still haven't beaten the game, but I totally forgot about the godly music I'm missing out on. Thanks for uploading.

Isn't it possible to just trick the game or emulator into thinking the computer is slower?

Thanks for doing this, man.

Can you save, load and quit in the Win7 version?

I don't think he reads the chat, and it's being drowned out by his fans

Just get the original one

The chat in the stream is a mess.

I'll see what I can do. I'd imagine others will try as well.

I mean confused as in some foreigners managed to dig up his old, ultra-rare game, and decided to translate it. It must be weird getting popular so much later after your games are made.

I imagine that he'd be confused, mostly.

Now the old thread has died. For the guy who needed help about 5 hours ago, if you actually get here, here are the instructions:

First extract the contents of the .bin and get a .smi I believe. After that put it in the basilisk shared folder so you can use it in the emulator. Put the .smi file in the "installerparts" disk, double click to get another program, and then double click that to start the install. Press the highlighted buttons and the mac should update to the japanese version. Tell me if these instructions work, sorry for not helping earlier.

I installed a japanese OS, and it allows various syllabaries. I think I posted the OS yesterday somewhere in this thread.

I'm just speculating though, I haven't gone past this point myself. Maybe the password was shown before?

Up in the left corner of the mac desktop you can save, load and quit.

I think you need to find out his name, so you'll have to read that PDA full of information to find that. You will also need to answer in japanese, so a japanese Mac OS is probably needed.

After this, what's next in the foreseeable future? My floppy disk drive hasn't arrived yet, but I will post the contents of the gift disk as soon as I can. Is the search for Garage going anywhere?
