Tried to open it from the program folder itself and not through steam.

Literally worked flawlessly on my previous install of Windows 8. Game crashed once. Ever. Failed to start properly maybe twice. Performing the same action twice on the exact same system should yield the same result, right?

Re-installed Windows 8.

Trying to install RCT 2.

Getting an error that says "Graphics Initialization Failed: Unable to initialize graphics system" that I can't screenshot because Windows 8 can't handle screenshotting dialogue boxes evidently.

Where did I fuck up now? It maybe needs to be noted that in the middle of the DirectX install the whole system decided that it urgently needed to restart and shut everything down without any prompts or anything.

Seriously fuck Microsoft and whoever crammed these retarded 'features' into Windows 8 with a rusty rake.

I got so fed up with Windows 8.1 that I just reset it without moving stuff out of the Program Files beforehand. Minor oversight, I didn't lose anything of importance except games.

Yeah it's terrible that they can essentially all agree to charge 100 times what the stated internet speed is, and then slow you down to like 50% of that at best.

Though some of it is probably all the data funneling through a friendly NSA data center near you.

Well I'm at my dad's house in LA right now and he's got AT&T I think.

It's worse at my parents house in Arkansas because they're on Hughes Net satellite which is literally slower than dialup, despite charging like $1200 a year.

Thankfully I'm getting my own place near my university in a few weeks.
