Essentially the same as earthbound, I don't know how to edit the overworld or really do anything to majorly change how the game plays out
I can and will do the following
>add all your sprites, duh
>change enemy names, enemy type, and potentially stats/moves [though difficulty will be kept roughly the same]
>change text before some of the bosses
>possibly change item names and properties, should people want to
>change "don't care" names
>maaaaaaybe change what PSI each party member learns. It'd be easy but don't count on it unless a lot of you want it.
>possibly change dialogue of random NPCs, though this will be the last thing we do as it will take a gorillion years to get through most of them

by the way when all of the party member sprites are done, including the ones for climbing and such, I'll open submissions for renaming equipment
Since Ness and Jeff already seem to be done, what sort of weapons should they use?
Sans I have no idea but Jacket's weapon selection is pretty broad

Also, when making overworld sprites, I recommend using graphicsgale and the sprites featured in the OP's MEGA link to maintain the color depth and palette originally used.
