Unfortunately for me, my 151 save on Yellow was lost. After that I really didn’t want to deal with that again so I’ve just started playing them on the 3DS - i know 3DS isn’t -retro- but I feel much better about my save staying intact.

The top 5 in that pic are must plays. FF3 is good but the DS version is far superior imo (that opinion might get me shot around here) Star Fox 1 and 2 are both great

I got my nephew on the 64 at around age 4, he’s 6 now. We still play 64 often, but he does like CoD 4 as well. If you start them early on classic consoles, they’ll more than likely grow to enjoy it.

/v/ has shit taste which is nothing new.

I didn't grow up with this game or DOS games, so I don't want to chalk it up to nostalgia. That being said, this is still my favorite video game of all time.

Bottom line:

Remaster is great. The environments feel lush and alive, and the remastered soundtrack is terrific. And trust me, getting 100% completion on the first one is hard as fuck.

If you have a PS4, pick up the new one.
