In fifth gen and beyond sprites became a stylistic choice rather than a necessity so its not fair to call them "evolved" that's why I chose that particular word.

Its funny because they are SO similar in so many ways other than the graphics so that argument in particular whichever side you're on is pretty retarded.

In our now distant hindsight though we can see 6 as a real representation of maximum evolved spritework and 2D aesthetic while 7 is such early 3D it feels fresh and exciting like "Jesus Christ fucking LOOK at this shit!"

I think that's what it boils down to, that we really see revealed in any certain person's preference.

The deed is long since done, Poor. Since I'm really allowing myself to blog itt anyway - Although I'm quite adored by Germans online, all the European girls I've hooked up with irl have been British (maybe because I can't help teasing ESLs?) and they've all expressed a mild but firm preference for cut. "Cleaner"

Isuzu like a midnight blue. Remember the actual light source will be the CRT black light just blend nicely with CRT illumination and then maybe a very small downward shining reading light the entertainment center in maybe amber. Some guy in the battle station threads has this fixation on vintage amps and shit with amber illuminated analog gauges on them. I'm not entirely sure about the quality of that stuff considering how hard they must be to find but they really do have a certain pleasant look in his entertainment center.

Supposedly the entire inspiration for Super Mario Sunshine was that Miyamoto thought the triggers on the controller felt like a squirt gun.

Not retro though

I have to support these as additional contenders. Final Fight is genre defining and the D&D games have the most depth. Golden Axe deserves a nod then round it out with Simpsons Arcade and perhaps The Avengers or X-Men 6-Player.

Yeah, I haven't been posting as consistently and ironically it's because of my new son. Ironic because I spent all that nailed-down time on /vr/ after my first son was born in March, 2013 but this was a much better board then - one worth constant posts. Over five years, I'd gradually adjusted and fallen into a rhythm in sync with the board but now that I'm currently and once again in need of a continuous focus for my higher brain functions it's somewhere other than /vr/ where I have a new and different pseudonymous identity - but no less obnoxious of course.

This thread's flawed premise is its hook, which makes it different from other similar threads. Addressing these flaws furthers this hook and increases the thread's traction on the board

Mario without a doubt. Mario's smooth scrolling and physics are deep cuts into the DNA of the hardware.

>What the fuck did you just fucking say about board games, you little bitch?
This. There's a lot more value to be gained right now in collecting thrift store board games than trying to collect thrift store video games and /tg/ is actually played with other people. Just make up your own gramps-insert about girls here. I don't feel like coming up with one today.

This actually looks like the perfect place to put a single arcade cabinet with some lighting that leads the eye to it dramatically.Even if you just use it mainly for playing console games.
