Not a fw900, it's a p1130.

Just turned the monitor back on, started having the flickering and there were lines moving downwards which were horizontal.
I don't know much about the inside of a CRT, but I know it has high voltage.

Or that person doesn't think that and is just a troll trying to grab our attention, just ignore them if they make another reply.

Yeah there's a reason why new stuff is invented, so companies can make money. Do you honestly believe those ads telling you LCDs were better? Have you ever heard of false advertising?

LCDs are only around because they were lighter and thinner than CRTs, not because they are more functional.

Just tried that, wasn't getting the flickering.

Anyone?

>> No.2071606 [View]

Hey, my CRT flickered about 4 times the last time I had it on. Sort of like how you're getting a bad aerial connection with a TV. Anyone know if this is a bad sign?

>> No.2070737 [View]

I've been using this monitor non-stop since I've got it and now I think I'm paying the price. The monitor just flickered 4 times sort of like how you get a bad aerial connection on a TV. I turned it off now, but I think I just shortened its life.

That is ok, 170Hz is fast as fuck.

My monitor can go up to 640x480 @ 170Hz, wonder how much higher I can pusher it at even lower resolutions.

I just played a Quake III match at 120hz on my p1130, this shit is awesome!

I think it's because you're using on-board graphics, try getting a VGA to DVI port.

The CRT has no backlighting to get captured by the camera, so it results in a deeper look even if you are viewing the pict on a LED.

I found out that it can change the colours individually, I've now got them all set equally. I prefer seeing my colours as they are, I play in dark environments generally.

I'm not, just simply making the observation of what that person did. If they responded with an even more rude response I would've just ignored them.

Ah ok, when I had it set to that it was very orange-tinted. There doesn't appear to be any way to set the colours individually, at all.
>>2065887
Uh no, how bout you stop making ridiculous claims based on one thing I said?

"Do you prefer CRTs to other display technology?

No, why do I even own a CRT?
Only for retro games
Yes but I use a flat-panel for HD content
Definitely yes, I don't even own a flat-panel "

I own a flat-panel and still think CRTs are better even with HD content. This is my problem with surveys, never let you type in an answer and just leave you with preset answers.
