Just remember, perseverance is key. It's getting tougher out there to find stuff, and people are more savvy. It's not hard now for even older people to just look up what their crap is worth. Don't bother using craigslist, it's either gonna be newer stuff or they already know what it's worth. Stay local, don't spend tons of gas, and more importantly, just keep looking.

Pic related, my best weekend last year.

Related note, I'll buy Kirby, Castlevania 2, and Kid Icarus if you're looking to unload them.

I don't know if I'd call that a gold mine per se, but that does sound pretty cool. Where was this?

It's basically a glorified garage sale, except it's inside the house, not outside. It's usually for getting rid of bigger things, like furniture, but most of the time everything inside is up for grabs.

People usually have estate sales if the original owner dies or they're moving from one big house to another big house, so usually it's old people crap.

How is that complaining? I'm just relating a story about estate sales, and giving advice on how to approach them; very few of them actually have video games, but if you have the resources available to check out what they have, you can probably score big.

Picture is what I missed at the estate sale I didn't go to.

Next estate sale you're at, ask the people running there that you're interested in video games, and give them your e-mail. It can't hurt to at least try.

Well, what happens is, these estate sales are created by people that swoop in when an estate goes up for sale, and do all the heavy lifting of selling stuff. The one I went to was run by monsterestatesales.net. Usually, estate sales are garbage, but most of the time they usually post pictures of everything that's available. They put me on their mailing list and send me notifications of estate sales they're doing that have video games; there was one last week that I wasn't able to go to, but it had a bunch of N64 and GameCube games.

Estate sales are awesome, but you gotta get there crazy early. It's prime hunting grounds for resellers; one estate sale I showed up to, and soon as I found the room with the games in it, there was a dude shoving every single thing he could find into a duffel bag. I told him to calm down a bit, and he replied something along the lines of "I gotta eat."

I did find a CIB copy of F-Zero for my trouble that he missed, at least.

I can't find anything in the Ghouls 'n Ghosts series to save my life.

Anybody got any Ghosts 'n' Goblins/Ghouls 'n' Ghosts games they want to get rid of? Feel like getting my ass kicked.

If there's a majority of games you need in the collection, offer to buy everything in one swoop, people will appreciate it. If they have 10 games and you need 7 of them, and they want 3 dollars per game, offer 15 or 20 dollars to buy all of it. Both parties will usually be pleased. The more you buy, the less you pay, so to speak.

Which is weird, because I only sell/trade my duplicates. I admit I made a few mistakes in the beginning, and people like to hold grudges. I'm not gonna go outta my way to change people's minds, though.

1. The 3DS resizes the screen with a black border so that it's not stretched out.
2. The cart price won't go down, as it's actually fairly rare, and a collector's item.

Have you cleaned the contacts with rubbing alcohol and a Q-tip? It's unlikely, but it's worth a shot.

Can't pick just one, since my actual all-time favorite is far and away Silent Hill 3. But.. I'll go with my favorite game as of right now.

Rubbing alcohol and a Q-tip, use it.

Polite sage.

My prediction is that people who want to play the game on their home consoles will download it, making the price dip. After a month or so, though, it'll be back up to where it was.
