I'd honestly just play hard mode, if you get a copy of hard mode, and a copy of easy mode, the saves are interchangable, if you get too frustrated, switch to easy mode and wreck shit.

if you have two casters with flare2 give them whatever speed items and have them blow the living fuck outta zalmo right off the bat.

I really recommend this, though I also recommend also getting the easy mode of this patch as well.

I ran into the issue of leveling one level and suddenly all the enemies had next tier equipment and there was no way to farm equipment (for some reason the enemies at barius hill all have maintenance and their bodies don't drop treasure or crystal).

FFT 1.3 just got updated

it's hardmode/rebalanced FFT, I'm having a blast with it.

I'm really happy with my logitech

it's a plug and play no fuss kinda deal. Feels super solid. I don't know about the 310, I have a 510 and that shit is built like a tank.

Good all around controller

I have a logitech and it's good, I like it better than the ps2 controller for shmups because of the dpad.

I also have

NES Classic USB : it's an OK controller, looks the same the d pad is great, but the a button is a little loose, works well enough though.

Play Sega! usb saturn controller: fantastic for sega games a little cheap fealing, but it was only like 7 bucks and it is responsive.

Retroarch N64 Controller: Feels exactly like the n64 controller, I'm happy with it

Retroarch SNES: feel almost the same as an SNES, they even fixed the buttons so x and y are concave. The L and R are a little springy, but whatever.

PS2 to USB: it's a little weird, to even make it usable I had to use lillypad input plugin and increase the sensitivity of the buttons.

retro games should be approached with a different mentality.

Most games nowaday are super gentle, they guide you through with minimal effort.

You need to have a steel resolve to play these games, you WILL die a lot, everyone dies A LOT, but it is so much more rewarding when you finally win.

If something is hard just stick with it, your muscle memory will eventually catch up.
