In case anyone wants to read up on Scarlet Grace and all of its features, we've got a good review up on eternitychan.

One of the guys that did a playthrough of Scarlet Grace was kinda impressive in that he usually does very difficult challenge runs of other games.

Scarlet Grace is one of the few games where he's uploaded videos of him dying or resetting.

Everything I've seen paints Scarlet Grace as being one of the most difficult SaGa games ever.

And I love it.

Everything about what you've listed sounds amazing.

I really really really do hope that it comes out in English. I'd love to fully experience the thing, but if in a few months time we don't hear word of it I'm gonna buckle up and just import it.

Is there any chance of DLC or additional storylines/events/etc being added later on?

I know most people don't have the best opinion of DLC, but I feel like it could really work within the context of SaGa getting expansions in the style of older PC games.

I think I've put off playing Romancing SaGa 2 for too long.

Come, /Sa·Ga/, and grant me strength to surpass strength.

OH

That explains where people kept getting the tracks from.

>except the aesthetic which is too generic modern anime for most things
Driving a point mentioned in the previous thread, you gotta remember that these games are made by whatever staff and assets are available.

See: Romancing SaGa's remake, Minstrel Song, which had quite a few guys, and assets, taken from Final Fantasy XI.

I don't fault them for it, but it's really nice to have Kobayashi back for Scarlet Grace.

I enjoy seeing her art and designs so much.

>What about them? I felt they were pretty great, especially the SaGa 3 remake.
Any problems I had, I also had with the originals.

It's not something I can mention off the top of my head, but if I ever play them again I'll make sure to point out what I disliked.

Overall, great games, though. They're in my top 10 for great RPGs I always replay.

In my region we have a term for what you're describing,

Translated it'd be, "As possible as Lucifer dwelling in heaven."

It really seems impossible, at this point, and I say that while being (possibly) one of the more optimistic people about things like that on these boards.

Frontier 1, I feel, didn't get a fair handshake, and it had some really amazing stuff in it. Just looking at information on the cut content from Fro1 is heart breaking, honestly.

They're all pretty cool and I think the DS remakes did a pretty good job of improving on them, even if I had a few issues with them here and there.

At this point, I'd kill for a decently detailed Kawazu wiki.

Cause you can't really find any information something like Wild Card unless you're willing to dig through places like /vr/

I find that as long as we're sticking to the general rules of the general itself (we're here to talk about old saga games, but there's still a new one that we can discuss) it should be fine.

On the other hand there's always time for the birth of a SaGa IRC chat room, or my very own eternitychan that no one ever wants to use.

>people wanting to spam memes and shitposting to the point things were no longer fun
Yeah, that's my issue.

It's not about coming together as fans and pointing out errors, helping one another out, and banding together as a community.

It's just "fuck that, famalambruhthang, let's spam dank memes 420zzzzz"

>free from the burden of terrible localizations/translations, which is no small advantage for people like us.

Right now I want to be free of the burden of people who complain about terrible localization and translation.

Putting up with a certain other general when their game got translated was a nightmarish experience.

>Welp, hopefully I didn't make many errors, I whipped this up in a rush after work so maybe I've made a few mistakes here and there, I'll also have to head out for dinner soon so I'm sorry if I messed things up, extra apologies for any fuck up.

Thanks for going through with it all for our sake, I enjoy reading up about this and it's making for a great early birthday present.

>Now, you can go around the world and engage in all sorts of trades, crafting and even influence a place's culture by trading certain materials. At the beginning of the game for instance you'll be given straw, you can use straw in another place to see what kind of products you might get or create with it.

Everything is pretty interesting so far, but this one struck me as being the coolest aspect they've discussed in this article.

Scarlet Grace is shaping up to be one hell of a game and I'm looking forward to it while hoping for an English release

Say, Kyodai, they're offering a 1.5 year course near where I live that teaches Japanese with a Japanese instructor. Worth it? y/n

It's a pretty fun game to play through, though.

It's one of the best entries in the franchise, but it being locked away behind a shitty translation that would make most people cringe is a serious problem.

>> No.3634367 [View]

>>3634323
From what I understand, mostly from fans who do understand the native language of the game, we sorta missed out on a lot with it.

They mess up quite a few things and it has garbage grammar and sentence structure.

It's definitely something that deserves a visit by a better equipped translator, especially since it's on the SNES and there are tons of tools that would allow and facilitate easier hacking now than when it first got translated.

Only issue is finding someone who would bother to do it.

I find it difficult to recommend RS3.

It plays well, but the fan translation we got it is pretty terrible.

Did someone go back and update it?

I'd honestly go with what's obvious, since that's probably it, but at the same time I understand the nagging feeling of wondering if the obvious choice was the right one.
