/vr/ - Retro Games

Back in the NES days, Capcom just had it down when it came to games. From Megaman games to all the Disney titles, to their own stand-alone franchises. Can we get a discussion/appreciation going about NES Capcom games?

Wouldn't Gradius II-V all be remakes, since they're all essentially Gradius I with maybe 3-4 new levels total?

We talk a lot on /vr/ about retro remakes. I'm trying to compile a list of all the remakes that are out. Older remakes, newer ones, just a good, consolidated list. If you anons wouldn't mind, add to this list. Give the remake title, system it's for, and what the original game (or series) is it's a remake of (yeah, some names will be the same). Doesn't matter how new the remake is (or what system it's on), provided it's a remake of a retro title (or series).

I like the progression of design in the Game Boy games. More so than the NES games, I think with each new title you can see the progression unfold. It was entertaining going through them one after another.

If you have played some good romhacks (or bad) we'd not only like you to suggest them and give pertinent sourcing info, but please tell us about the game. Whoa whoa whoa, I come home for a break and this thread has severely gone off-key. I;m gonna ditch this one and start anew. Sorry anons, but I was hoping for a decent thread, not a bashing one.

Also, I'm not sure if 4chan does archives anymore, but if anyone ould care to find out and, if so, get some votes going, I think it'd be very useful. There's a TON of great info in this thread that needs to be saved, especially since we're gonna have multiple threads. Thanks again, I'm off to work for awhile.
