Wasnt the Sega Saturn version of this better?

>> No.1715514 [View]

So what if there was a kickstarter for the Dreamcast 2? Bear with me for a sec. It's not a NEW console, but an upgraded Dreamcast. Most of the hardware would be the same, a reproduction Dreamcast essentially. New would be
-Brand new GUI/BIOS
-Ethernet and WiFi
-16 GB flash memory
-USB port
-HDMI out (includes older video out as well)
-New controller (Saturn 3D pad redesigned for Dreamcast)
-Sega store where you can download select games
The system would run all old games, including burnt ones and 3rd party games, and they would also have a new VMU available for purchase. It would retail for around $120.

I used to play 64 with 20 stocks, two CPUS, versus my little bro, without defending because I played it on an emulator and we shared a single keyboard.

I used to beat the fuck out of him and now he utterly destroys me both in Brawl and in Brawl Minus. I don't know what happened.

Bingo. Everything else was pretty much laid to you and not hidden, although I had trouble with Blast The Wall and Snowman's Head.

But the secret slide? There is absolutely NOT any indication of it's existence on the game. Except for the message "if you go real fast, you can earn an Star". I (and literally everybody else) thought that it meant the first star in there.

I kinda wonder how the little kids who grew up with Sunshine and had no Internet fared up in that time. So maany random shit in that game.

This thing.

I knew of this thing. You wanna know why? Because for about TWO YEARS, I couldn't find that god-forsaken 120th star. I explored every fucking inch of the enitre castle. Probably discovered more glitches that anyone in the story of ever.

When the location of the 120th star came to me in a Nintendo magazine, I was fucking crying tears of joy. All of my family gathered. They saw me enter the cannon. Meeting a polygonal Yoshi. Getting 100 lives. And, more importantly, ending a complete age in my life that will never come back.

Try to guess what star that was.

Yes. In my experience, it has slighty better compatiblity that the other loaders, like wiiflow.

Besides, the good thing about CFG is that it's, well, confgurable. You can mod the shit out the thing, putting your own themes, skins, and even your own playlist of .mp3s. Given than eveyrthing on it can be downloaded online, from the covers to the cheats, it's fucking easy to set up and enjoy. And as I said, it's visually the most attractive of all the loaders.

>> No.1140779 [View]

First you need to get a properly formatted drive. Maybe it's the HDD itself, have you checked if it's compatible? If it's an USB 3.0, it will most likely not run any GC games.

IF your HDD is formatted correctly, switch to CFG USB Loader since is the most preferred loader of them all and is aesthetically pleasant as fuck. And you can habe Wii and GC games in the same menu.

Ask me anything, I'll be around here until 12.

I haven't said that storytelling it's bad for a game. The "exploration" that the essay poster refereed to it's more related to the game's atmosphere than the gameplay, and I'm trying to discuss the gameplay/design here.

I loved Metroid Prime as much as everyone and their cousin's milkman's grandma, and a big part of said love came from the god-tier atmosphere the game had.

The other part came from the god-tier exploration the game had. Both are different things.

>>1118456

You would be surprised how rewarding the exploration in the 2D games is compared with their 3D brothers. One of the other aspects I would love to see finally implemented.

In my book, the only 3D Zelda with rewarding exploration was MM.

May I remind you that you're playing a video game, and that the exploration aspect being discussed is strictely gameplay and not atmosphere based. That's other issue completely non-related.

SS was beatiful as fuck, had immersion, had atmosphere, had everything you said but it lacks video-game exploration. And it's a video-game, not an story-telling medium.

It's still an interesting point you made, though. Well wrote.

If you actually see the screenshots, you can note I'm not spoiling absolutely anything both plot or gameplaywise. I carefully choose the pictures.

Besides that, I only play one hour af a day. My time today it's up. Only six screenshots, zero clobbering.

You don't really need to be a dick, you dick.

If Richard doesn't gets in SSB4, at least the main theme must.

I still think the "incoherent" overworld is way better since that allows more shit to be hidden, encouraging exploration.

But if you want a coherent, secret-filled Hubless overworld, WW is a damn fine example of that.

I knew it. I had a slight Frie Emblem vibe from this.

Anyway, my time for today is over. See you guys tomorrow. I'm loving the game so far.
