Thanks for being awesome

I have no idea what you're talking about. There's no "on time" here. Another translator helping out would speed things up, that's all I'm saying.

>>1139601
Wow, well if I get really bored I might end up translating this thing myself to speed shit along.

I'm not happy with my first encode though. I just assumed that it was 3:2 pulldown, but the result looks choppy, and the ts -looks- like pure interlaced material. Hopefully you guys don't finish too quickly. I have to keep at this until it looks perfect

>> No.1139516 [View]

So if I'm reading this TSReader thing correctly, the Paris ts is compressed by 40%.

Oh well ;_;

Kinda related, but how likely is it that the Perfect Dark arrests were made because of non-PD sourced evidence? A lot of times people are caught doing shit because they fucked up and let personal info slip, like with the idiots on Tor that keep getting caught because of malware

Any chance you could cap these for us?

How likely is it that anyone in this thread has scene contacts?

What we're getting is good enough.

Do you live in Japan?

>> No.1139478 [View]

>>1139474
Absolutely. In the US, some cable/satellite providers don't even encode with mpeg2 anymore, and 1080p broadcasts are actually a thing if you're one of the lucky few with the right provider. I don't know what its like in Japan, but over here what you get can vary wildly.

Do we have a script for the paris special yet? Or am I ahead of schedule.

>> No.1139452 [View]

>2.6GB
Well that's as good as its gonna get. Its a 2 hour special and I went with the lowest acceptable crf. Where should I upload this thing?

>implying nicknames don't exist
Either way, I wonder where he's getting these. This wasn't on PD as far as I could tell.

>> No.1139063 [View]

By the way, I'm still working on the encode. Turns out my IVTC filters don't like avxsynth, and avspmod doesn't like to work when I need it to, so I'm gonna have to figure out how to squeeze the most performance out of a Windows VM before I get anywhere with this.

You're in Japan? Please keep this up and don't get arrested. I love you and the work you do.

Eventually. I'm drowning work right now

>> No.1138314 [View]

I'm not sure what side of the argument this fuels, but the 15GB .ts of the Paris Special looks like shit. This IS normal though. Most broadcast TV is compressed to hell and back BEFORE its captured.

>> No.1138257 [View]

>>1138249
I don't think there's that much bandwidth for OTA broadcasts in the first place. No one's getting 1TB transport streams delivered to their TVs.
>>1138252
Most if not all broadcast, satellite, and cable TV looks like shit.

>> No.1138213 [DELETED]  [View]

I decided not to deal with the video game segments separately since I wanna get this thing running while I'm at school. Once its done I'll a few of you guys can take a look, tell me if its acceptable, and I'll put out a more detailed v2 when I get a chance. Hopefully this isn't like my chinese porn DVDs where the field order changes based on the moon cycles.

>>1138206
You're funny.

>> No.1138178 [View]

Shit, just thought of something. Are all the video game scenes captured with a capture card?

>> No.1138171 [View]

>>1138168
No idea. If everything goes as planned and things don't get too busy at work, I'll probably leave it encoding while I'm at school, and then deal with uploading it when I get home at night.

Windows Server 2012 R2 actually. Only thing I could get for free without pirating. Gotta use this for work too though.

I love technology. I never imagined this would be so easy...

>> No.1138021 [View]

Slight setback. I'm going to have to write my avs in Windows when I get some time to myself with my laptop or get my Windows VM set up.
