1 and 3 I think 9 is better than them both. 4 was awful, 5 was eh, 6 was awful.

I heard that if you finished MK2's story mode 14 times as Kano, you could unlock Ermac.

All of the Ecco communities died long ago, unfortunately. Shame. That game has so much stuff to theorize about.

Jedi Knight II once had a fantastic multiplayer community, now it is just full of bot servers.

All of my friends could never beat the first game, I think I was the only one to have gotten a sequel.

2's soundtrack is amazing(Genesis Version, not CD of course).

I'm not too familiar with console fixing, what do I need to get to replace it.

Random Battles are an atrocious game design

Atmosphere hits hard with me. Tons of great memories, mind blowing storyline and some surprisingly darker stuff.

Definitely my all time favorite game. The second one also improved the gameplay loads from the first.

Almost nobody knows that it had a sequel. It's actually my all time favorite game

For a good year now, my NES has been having darker colors then I know it should have. Any suggestions?

We can talk about how much Games are "objectively better" than each other, but in the end the experience of playing a game whether going on a nostalgia trip or playing Donkey Kong Country 2 right after getting it as a christmas present is what will make a true experience. That's what Gaming is about.

Nostalgia and memories does affect how we view gaming, and why is that a bad thing? We can embrace the nostalgia instead of shunning it like we usually do.

I'm not a fan of Sonic CD, so outside of popful mail I haven't dabbled much into the CD. There are CD versions of Ecco 1+2(Ecco 1 has a few extra levels on the CD) but the soundtracks are inferior.

>Your favourite game among the classic, 3D and RPG games
Classic: Rondo
3D: Lament of Innocence(You can't deny how great it was for the lore)
RPG: Aria of Sorrow(SOTN with it's problems fixed + cool soul system)

>Favourite character design
Julius Belmont. I want him to cuddle with me

>Favourite BGM
Dracula's Castle(SOTN)

>Rate the classic games you've played in order of difficulty from highest to lowest.
3, Rondo, Bloodlines, 1, 2, SCIV
Don't take my difficulty for granted. I have no problem strolling through games like Lion King on Genesis or Kid Icarus. But for some reason, 3 and Bloodlines made me cry for a hundred years.

R camera is mankinds greatest invention. BK's objectives were varied in how it was you obtained jiggies, and there was less of that in SM64. Throw in the game's smoother look, unforgettable charm, fantastic level design, and superior boss battles, and you have more than a few reasons to accept your bear and bird overlord.

And I agree that Tooie was rushed.

Sorry, but the Genesis had more than a couple good titles for just about every genre out there. In fact, I think the SNES loses in it's genre variety. The Majority of good games on the SNES were Platformer's or RPG's.

on the Genesis, we have the Genres you've mentioned as well as games like Columms, Shining Force, Ecco the Dolphin, etc.

The way I usually put it is the SNES has more 10/10 must plays, and while the genesis has a few it has more just great games. But still, it has a few must plays like Ecco 2, Sonic 2+3, and Streets of Rage 2.

>> No.999043 [View]

Genesis because the Genre variety is greater.

In the end, we both got two awesome consoles with a large variety of games and tons of fantastic classics.

Seconded.

But seriously, we don't need your fancyass mode seven, we have Blast Processing

>> No.995153 [View]

SNES for Orchestral, but there is something really great about the Genesis' funky beats.

Ecco 1+2 and Streets of Rage really pushed what the Genesis chip could do to the limits.

But Music is naturally biased; people will just align with what they grew up with and in the end it comes down to taste.

But seriously, don't dismiss the Genesis music SNES fans. Music like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x1Hb8JVP1lU is something we'll never get again. I definitely agree that the Genesis had some crappy soundtracks, but the ones where it hit home were the absolute best ones.

I adore this game.

It had so much charm and it was extremely memorable.

This isn't exactly new knowledge, but Ecco 3 was not made because sega denied his request to make it on 3 occasions.

Paper Mario. It's the pinnacle of RPG's inm terms of gameplay/overworld gameplay
