There's no reason to let a thread die for this, though. You should've posted this question on 'questions that don't deserve their own thread', ffs. I am 20 years old, grown up with an old PC, PS1 and later on a PS2. But i never got into PS3 and so on because games were too much bland or chaotic for me; hell, now i'm even recovering a ton of games and consoles i've missed out on my childhood. NEO-GEO, N64, NES, SNES, Saturn, Genesis and so on and so on... Does this make me a hipster? a star? a god? No, i'm just a person with their very own opinions about stuff, and i am of the opinion that your thread is utterly useless if not to make other people like me appear in order to wank their ego and say stuff like "hey me too omg" or viceversa, grown-up people that will gladly say "yes you are the only one, good for you". Please don't ever post a thread like this, this is one of the few boards that isn't dying yet. This. Fuck the messed up jump inertia of Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy, fuck that bland Spyro remake that didn't even came out yet. I'm mentioning the tip of the iceberg i know, but you get the point. Remasters, remakes, graphic overhauls, all this stuff come to a price. Not only the economic one, but you won't absolutely get the same feel, hear the same sounds, see the same textures and so on. Maybe i'm biased because i know i fucking love those damn gaudy pixels on these games but the hell with that, it's very rare the case you'll get a fine game with this huge, lucrative videoludic market. An example is the Monkey Island Special Edition, that lets the player switch to the old version at anytime of the game.

Isn't that the one where you have do a mapper-intended skip that bypasses 95% of the level (otherwise locking players out) in order to go into a Deathmatch-style level with those Evil Marines and you have an incredibly short window to reach the secret exit for that Scythe MAP01 with a TWEEST? Yeah that was dumb, I guess Alm thought people knew MAP15 would have the exit either way and some would scan over the most obscure shit to find it, but still.

Given Scythe 1's MAP28 Run From It as well, honestly fuck these speed-based exits. I get that these players are genuinely good at Doom but still some of these windows you're given are tighter than a nun's cunt.
