About how much could I make selling a bunch of decent condition consoles?
I've got a PS1, PS2, NES, SNES, N64, GameCube with Gameboy Player, Genesis, and Xbox, all original models.

There's already a thread. The conclusion is that you really can't get a good result without some manual labor at some point, because the algorithm can't make detail out of nothing, and is bound to make many mistakes.

These can potentially be a tool for starting a HD project, but they will not do all the work for you.
Applying it and calling it done is akin to putting on a blur filter.

Nostalgia, enjoying the feeling of buying physical media, carrying on with what we're just used to, the autistic satisfaction of collecting stuff, the fact that some games and some systems are poorly emulated, if at all. Could be a lot of things.
Personally I just enjoy having physical copies of the games I really like and emulate the rest, and real hardware with a CRT is what I'm comfortable with.
Also "replica" USB controllers are usually never as good as the real thing and thinking that you need a high end CRT to enjoy retro games is a meme.

What are some tricks to update the look of your favorite retro games in order to keep up with the increasing graphical standards passed on by current releases?

How do you guys deal with the fact that your favorite games look progressively worse with each passing day?
