Why is Super Mario Land 2 never brought up in regards to best Mario games discussion? It's a fantastic game and it has some of the most unique, imaginative worlds and ideas in the entire series.

What do you think of this game? I've seen people refer to it as the most underrated Mario game, and I've even heard of people calling it one of the best Mario games.

Oddly enough the only other game I can recall playing under sheets was Pokemon and Doctor Mario. My memory is getting bad.

So I went back and tried this game, and it's not as good as I remember...It was one of my favorite games as a kid, but I don't enjoy it much now. It seems really easy, and the level design doesn't seem that interesting. I'm kind of disappointed, although I do like a fair amount of the aesthetic touches. What are your thoughts on this game? Also, what are some other games that weren't as good as you remember?
