It might suck that the general populace might only think of BD when it comes to mods for Doom, but for those that actually care to dig deeper into the community once they had their fill of what BD offers will eventually find a lot of great shit besides on their own, or even make something themselves.

What's a good start for someone that wants to get into weapon modding? GMOTA got me hooked on the idea but I'm not sure where to really begin and don't have much knowledge in the ways of coding.

I'm gonna attempt to make the map themed around a UAC facility built on and into large asteroids orbiting some sort of planet, so a lot of back and forward from typical techbase to outdoor low-gravity rock hopping.

Hopefully I'm not getting too ahead of myself as I'm still new to mapping in general, but I figured it's a good way to learn some things even if it might be a dud.

I had karma points enabled in an simple machine forum way back in 2003

the funny thing was that you could not only add points but also remove them, and that's how everyone ended up in a karmic war that left everyone with negative karma points

it was fun to look at the log to see who hated whom

someone uploaded a modified "lights.pk3" some threads ago to use with Light Shadowmaps enabled, I formated my C drive, I don't know if I downloaded it because the one I found in my computer doesn't do shit, or is not for that option?

also, the default lights.pk3 doesn't light the barrels?, is that correct?
