I'm going to support the Kickstarter, even though I am disappointed that it's just Romero pitching a concept (although with some cool art by Carmack). I'd say it'd be good for everyone to give a little bit of cash to it, because the possibility of this neat a concept existing is better than the Kickstarter failing, and the whole thing never existing at all. I believe in Romero, Carmack, and the whole team enough to give them a good chunk of my spending money.

John Romero recently stated that he thought Darksiders would have been the game he came up with had he gotten the chance to make Quake "right". Considering how shitty I find Darksiders to be, I'd rather have my Doomclone Quake anyday.
