/vr/ - Retro Games

Nah hardly anyone has the time to play all of these games, and this is just NES alone. Chances are if anyone tried, they'd end up spending more time with one or a few others, trying to beat them. Great games in general should have a high replayability

I love the NES so much. I have the most nostalgia for NES. Some Sega Genesis and the add ons too since I grew up with all of them. NES might possibly be my favorite system though. It has some flaws but since I've been playing it for so long it doesn't really matter. I love the 8 bit style and it is really pretty damn timeless. People still make those style of games.

Buy the well known most-have classics everyone knows about and then try these out.

So are we going for a "Hipster's Choice guide" listing lesser known "underrated" games or a guide that only lists 10 "best" and often most well known games in each genre? Pic gives game suggestions if we are going for the former.

In defense of the people making threads about game recommendations or asking about best emulators if you browse 4chan boards using the catalog (like most people do nowadays) the only part of the sticky they see is the "This board is for the discussion of classic, or "retro" games. Retro gaming means consoles, computer games, arcade games (including pinball) and any other forms of video games on platforms launched in 1999 and earlier."part, they don't see the links at the bottom unless they actually go to the sticky thread which most of them don't do. Would it be possible to get either the "This board is for games from 1999 or earlier" sentence or links from the sticky on top of the threads on /vr/? That way people would forced in seeing them and might actually check them out.

Another option would be either edit the existing sticky thread or make a new one that would start with the links and be a collection recommendion pics like this one.
