That anon's wrong. The Saturn Multi Controller came out with NiGHTS in 1996.

So I've got a problem with my Saturn 3D pad, the magnets in the triggers keep falling out meaning I can't reliably use the triggers making games like Guardian Heroes unplayable, any ways I can fix this?
I've been thinking about using tape, putting Blu Tack at the back of the magnets or just simply Super Gluing them into place.

You really should play it with a Saturn 3D controller, the analog stick on it is amazingly precise.

Which controller are you using? Hope you have a 3D controller since the game makes very good use of it.

It's like they took the Saturn 3D controller and tried to figure out how to fuck it up as much as possible

When exactly did you realize Saturn did lose against PS1, with no hopes of coming back?

Why did the A button have that bump? It didn't help at all and only made it more uncomfortable with repeated pressing.

On a similar note, who thought the grooves in N64's hard plastic analog stick was a good idea? The Saturn 3D controller's stick is so much better in comparison it saddens me it wasn't widely adopted.

Yeah thats what L & R are for. But the game probably does control best with the saturn 3D controller since it supports it.

Anybody willing to trade their 3D Sega Saturn controller? Fine with the Japanese or American version; I just want play NiGHTS correctly. I've got some Dreamcast/Saturn/Neo Geo Pocket games I'd be willing to trade for. Also, a modded PSX and an unmodded PSX.

You should try the Saturn 3D controller, the one the Dreamcast was based on. It's better in every way except the VMU.
I don't know where I'd fit a second thumbstick if I had to improve that design though.
