I've noticed that Lost Souls count as kills in GZDoom toward the monster counter and toward the score screen at the end, while they did not count in the original Doom, PRBoom+ or Crispy. Why is that?

I keep seeing people praising the delay to make Eternal more polished, but as someone that got to demo it, I genuinely believe this delay can't be for any reason other than Bethesda fuckery.
I'm fuckin worried bros, ngl. Been looking forward to the game so much, and it already felt so polished. I don't know what's happening behind the scenes but it worries me. Especially with that leak about wanting to "marvel-ify" the series being posted like a day prior to this.

So I'm playing The Master Levels for Doom 2 for the first time and holy fuck, I'm sorry dude but fuck Chris Klie. His maps are such utter garbage. They're not fun, they're not challenging, they're extremely annoying. Subspace? The Combine? HORRIBLE MAPS.

I don't even remember the last time I had this much of a visceral reaction to bad mapping. Am I exaggerating or do you guys get the urge to hurl when playing those too?

Unlimited is one of the very best games in the series and one of the best RPGs ever made in general, people only hate it because they are brainlets with low RPG powerlevel that can only come up with misinformation and excuses.
If you truly like what the series stands for you cannot dislike Unlimited, you might not like the odd entry like Frontier 2 which does away with a lot of series' conventions, you might not like messes like SNES Romancing SaGa or SaGa 3, but if you truly like the core elements of SaGa you cannot say that Unlimited is a shitty game.
Telling people to get off their high horses while being lofty enough to dismiss such a game with no arguments only shows who's the conceited asshole in here.

Don't do that. There's nothing fun about a bullet sponge those doesn't do anything other than standard chaingunner behavior with the occasional dodge to side, and stacking a shitload of HP on a monster doesn't make them interesting or difficult.
In fact I'm seeing all you've you got here is a lot of monsters dodging from side to side, or just randomly teleporting.

Don't do that. If all you can manage is ways to deliberately hinders the player's view or give them motion sickness, then you should reconsider the monster.

what the everlasting fuck anon. One of the WORST enemy types in any FPS game ever are the small wiggly enemy types that just run right up to you in melee range, all you've done is make it infinitely more annoying by crippling the player's speed. Don't do that.

You're probably new to all of this and inexperienced, and that's fine. A lot of us were like that in the beginning, but I strongly suggest you take a step back and start asking yourself "What can benefit the gameplay of this mod? What's interesting or fun to engage with?"
I also suggest maybe giving the player some new weapons or abilities to help deal with all of this crazy bullshit you're throwing at them, or tone it all way back to make it more vanilla friendly.
