What doesn't help is that a fair share of modders gradually ended up moving from Zandybam to GZDoom, the latter was making some actual developments while the former hasn't even updated in a longass time and is seriously behind in features. So interest just more or less waned as more mods became geared towards single player.

There used to be a fair deal of multiplayer here back when Best-Ever was a thing and made it easy to set up servers. It kind of whittled away though, probably doesn't help that some modders jumped ship from Zandronum to GZDoom and that the former barely updates anymore.

I understood as far as Jenova clearing the banlist and mentioning that he spent $4000 US or something on hosting the service. Then something probably dumb happened that made him cal it quits entirely.
