Additionally, the Sony GDM-FW900 is well known as well as its SGI and HP rebrands, but there is also the older Sony W900 out there to keep an eye out for. I'm not sure if it suffers from the same screen brightness voltage problem as the FW900. If it does not it could end up being the better monitor now years down the road (unless you dig into making that custom cable and adjusting the voltage of the FW900).
