I picked that up on a whim but after Mario it felt like I was in baby mode with all the small improvements and also FUCK the tutorials dragged on.

Which I guess fits the whole Twilight Princess motif.

Can anyone here hack the text for the tutorial mode to say "How to Play" instead of "Tutorial"? Every other Picross game translated "asobo ka ta" that way, and it's messing with my autism.

Good luck, but note that it will certainly feel more comfortable on a real console. The game has a touch only mode, but it excels at control scheme where you hold a thumb on dpad/buttons (depending on you secondary hand) and hold stylus with another hand.

It means there has to be a space between the spaces you fill. So in this case it says 2, 2 so you fill in 2 squares and then there’s a gap and then 2 more squares. The gap can be as small as 1 square or as large as multiple

Have fun. If you ever get bored of Picross 3D in the future, be sure to check the 3DS sequel. It is meant for veterans of the original game and introduces a new dual color mechanic which provides a solid difficulty bump.

Thanks for the list, finished Picross DS and it was really fun. Will check out some other games.
>>8230139
Yeah, it's pretty neat, although the easy difficulty is too long, and you can't play medium levels before finishing almost all easy puzzles, so it was boring after some time.

>> No.8237437

>>8232624
Yeah, I emulated the game and it plays really well with the control scheme you described, the only real problem I feel like is using the sliders that cut the blocks, it isn't bad using the mouse but I feel like the stylus would be a lot better.

Can you use A button + d-pad in that one to fill in with the sliders in this one, like in the older games? That might make the emulated version feel more natural than the mouse click-scroll, if so.
