Hey guys, so I recently found a small CRT in my house. I love the look of it but I was wondering why a bit of the screen is cut off with my genesis? It's fairly small.
7.5 in x 6 in.

Do I just need a bigger CRT? It doesn't bother me but it's a tad odd.

overscan. it's normal.
you can adjust it inside the TV, but why bother? content was designed with overscan in mind.

Well, for streets of rage, the health bar HUD is cut off from the overscan. But I'll check it out. I lost the remote, gotta order it online

Some games (often arcade style games) don't compensate for overscan.

So...you're telling me I can't adjust this in my TV settings with a remote?

You could adjust it down, but then it may end up cutting off the bottom hud of other games, so don't be surprised if you need to adjust it on a per-game basis.

check your tv's manual for a service menu, you may to need to use on-tv controls, or even controls inside the tv (adjusting the geometry is not something they expect a normal user to do)
