You'll need to download some specific files from the site's walkthrough setup guide to drag/drop and you'll be good to go. It used to be where you needed to delete specific files, but it seems that's no longer the case anymore; it's pretty straight forward. You'll just need to make a forum and a separate login account once you get that done. Sound will start muted for the pre-installed version.

>Hot tip: Windows changed the way it processes midi files after XP. Meaning unless you have some weird sound card setup the music is going to sound off. Usually this means bizarre voice choices and an overall tinny sound.

Download this and load it with the midi software of your choice, I use Virtual Midi Synth, and that should fix it right up.

Its much easier now with ports being common. If we do end up reforming at least while we set up again I can go GM and port Across norrath adding people and setting up officers. Then I can either set up multiple gms or Put an alt as gm as a backup. Should be easy to get around as ive made friends With porters in various time zones.

As far as people not getting the memo again we can put some alts in the old guild or just check in /who all occasionally

So how exactly is wizard rooting supposed to work? It knocks off too quickly too often to just set it and forget it, and costs too much to recast on anything actually dangerous. Is it a "strategy" for much later?

Root becomes insanely better at level 8 as it goes to 8 ticks instead of 2 for the same mana cost (a tick is 6 seconds) and spell resistance is based off your level instead of the level you got the spell at so you can use this 30 mana root even when you eventually have a 1k mp mana pool. As far as the strategy for wizards go Im not sure as I havent played one personally, at higher levels you "quad kite" but for now you probably just burn them down best you can and whack them with a staff until your root lasts a proper amount of time.

Ive been in 7 groups up to level 15 even formed my own a few times you faggot spouting faggot. They take forever to get going and when they do they break up in 30 minutes. They all want to do shit they cant handle and expect shaman or druids to heal. Also no one ever talks. I'm assuming it's because they don't speak english. On retail this shit never happens. You can get groups in Unrest from 10 to 30 non stop that run like well oiled machines and shoot the shit about how bad WoW is during down time for hours. You can solo any class to max level if you have patience. Druids are good because they have a lot of utility. The best soloers are probably Bards, but they also have that hybrid experience penalty (whereas a Halfling Druid has an experience bonus). Enchanters and Shamans are also up there.

I hear unrest has shitty people around the clock and if you go to the exp goldmine in HHK expect to meet some dipshits being that its the best exp in the game at 2 different level ranges. I reccomend befallen personally. the basement has good exp through I think like level 18. as far as finding a party works, type /lfg on so people can find you through /who lfg level range
walk right into the zone you want a group in, /ooc announce you are looking for a group and what your level and class are. the final step is really just send a message to someone in zone around the level you are looking to group with and provided they are in a group ask them to keep you in mind if the group needs a new member.

It's not every place, but it's most of the good ones.
Once you decide on a place for your level, find your way there and say your level and class in /ooc.
Then you just wait to see if someone decides to pick you up.

This works sometimes but I've had a lot better luck just going to popular camp spots and talking to the groups there... Asking if I can have the next spot when someone leaves. More often than not there was already someone on the fence and I'll replace them right then and there.

Yeah theres a big reason I started playing healers in MMOs. Peoples bad plays can be mitigated with a healer paying attention while playing with a brain dead healer makes me want to die. I disagree, based on my experience thus far on Green. The popular grinding zones are still packed during peak hours like nights and weekends, making it difficult to find groups. Late night / early morning poopsock hours the server is pretty empty which makes it a great time to take a camp that's normally congested or try jumping in a /list camp. The other times in between seem to be the sweet spot where it's easiest to find a full group.

Maybe it might be more of a problem later on, when more people drop off from boredom/lack of interest/etc. For now though we seem to be in a good place when it comes to server pop. Additionally, it may become a problem when Kunark comes out, and everyone ends up spreading out as the number of zones in-game nearly doubles.

Every time I join a camp or start a camp on Teal, these faggots from <Kingdom> are sitting on spawns. I got basement the other day started at like 5 AM and a faggot <Kingdom> camped Gerenel from 5 AM to 2 PM. I like Teal a lot but some of the fuckers on this server are worse than shit. Here's my summary of Teal guilds.

You don't even have to go that far. You get illusion: human at level 4 and humans are tolerated just about everywhere. DE Chanter is easily the best choice simply because illusion goes from fun gimmick to incredibly useful.

Today I learned you can sit during casting using the spells button and regen a tick while your spell channels as long as you click the book to stand back up when it finishes. Fucking nuts. Means you can suck down 2 ticks during a complete heal.

It's such bullshit. Rogean nerfed all the decent shit. Manastone, guise, FBSS, it's all nerfed. I spent 30 hours at Elder and I walk away with 20 Azure Sleeves, 15 Chrysoberyl Talismans. My favorite lore is there is a continent called Odus where these niggers hang out and in their city, all they do is create new spells and learn more knowledge. They only practice magic classes and this includes Necromancy. After someone's kid gets necro'd out of the ground, the wizards, mages and enchanters were like, bro you got to chill with that shit. Necromancers said fuck you and all you dumb faggot ass books, we're leaving and the Shadow Knights are coming with us. So they create a city named Paineel, or locally known as 'The Necromancer City.' They have a huge civil war on Odus and eventually the necromancers go, fuck these nerds, let's make a new spell to wreck them. So over time, they channel a 8-man wizard team into over-casting a beefy version of Teleport and decide to test it on a Keran village (cat people). So they surround the village and cast the spell, WHAM, it teleports a giant piece of Norrath literally to the moon where an expansion takes place, Luclin. The hole it left after that is also a dungeon called The Hole and is a lot of fun.

EQ has a bunch of books man, check them out.

Sure but necros aren't big groupers, good for solos, duos and trios though.

The mechanics of necro is that most of their DPS is DoT's so if you're in a group of 6, your DoTs go out the window and you're just life tapping and using pet DPS. Always groups everywhere you would want to go.

I say wait for Iksar if you want to make a necro. Their HP regen offsets your lich.

For the time being, groups aren't elitist and will invite anyone. The only prejudice are hybrids.

Abuse zone experience modifiers, ZEMs like Befallen or Crushbone with their 150% XP bonus. Don't be afraid to not group, solo cleric is easy, you just need a spot. Think outside the box, Lrodd in Befallen, once he's white, you can level on him for 3-4 levels just killing Lrodd alone. There's some skeletons right at the front of Najena's you can solo at the appropriate level. I spent time in Neriak nuking the 3 undead spawns on the pyramid. You can group a lot obviously, progress from Befallen > Unrest / Upper Guk > Lower Guk.

I tried unrest a bit too. It was way too crowded and much harder to find a group though, so ended up staying in guk. Also as an ogre being inside unrest mansion is a pain in the ass. Guk may have a couple tight squeezes but was much more comfortable most of the time.
