I have a PS1 that cant spin burned cds. The ones im using feel identical mass to my ps1 discs. I did fuck with the pot a year ago but it plays ps1 discs fine(better than the ps2 I broke).

try putting 2 short strips of scotch tape on opposing sides of the Disc. It will add just a bit of extra weight.

It can't or won't? It might be having a hard time seeing the intro to the CD and thus thinking there's no disk in the drive.

Try a different brand of CD-R, a higher quality name brand one.
