>tfw I have yet to experience the same adrenaline and high since the first time I played Doom I & II

My God, what a game that was.

What's that game that gave you the ultimate experience /vr/ ? That hasn't been matched by any other games?

Heart of Darkness, despite having a shitty story, was really breathtaking.

Honestly the first I remember? Getting Pokemon Stadium

I'd saved up for ages for it, the release day came and I knew it'd be waiting at home for me after school. The excitement of seeing my Pokemon in 3D was so much, it's all I wanted to do for weeks was get home and play that game.

Phantasy Star 2 on the Genesis/Mega drive. Though objectively 4 was the better game, 2 just has a special place for me.

Though the dialogue and story is simple, the lore behind it was deep. I especially like how it was people from Earth who made Motherbrain with evil intent. A plot twist I'll never forge

Not really "adrenaline" but it was certainly something special to me.

admittedly I think the final level or the crater in FF7 did it for me, it wasn't in your face awesome but after that huge journey you felt like "here I am" full strength, max materia ready to save da werld

and it introduced me to the tonberry

Doom here. Such a pleasing experience, very fast paced and blowing the brains out of every creature in my path with no limits. If I had to pick something else, Kirby on the NES. It wasn't a great game, it was far too easy and slow and really it fucking sucked, but man it was pleasing if only for the feeling of invincibility while running through the levels. Was quite the power trip.

I dunno, I definitely got adrenaline from that one. If you die in that game, there's no mercy. Back to town and start over.

Also, is this a genuine effect of autism? Where a person literally believes that their opinion is the be-all, end-all of all subjective arguments? Or where a person gets upset over another persons preferences like it effected them personally over an anonymous image board?

Not retro, but the most recent game that gave me that exact feeling was my first playthrough of Dark Souls. It was fucking amazing. One of my favourite gaming experiences of all time.

Still haven't played DS2, have to wait until June.

Asspergers syndrome, yeah.

Autism is a whole spectrum FYI. Theres different types of autism ranging from kids who ram their heads into walls to your average anti-social prick browsing /v/ or reddit.

Pretty sure it was Blood or the first Unreal. Lately, Hexen with Hexercise mod has been pretty awesome.
