It actually was a bit much for browsers back in the day. I remember that "null" glitch happened a lot in there where scenery object text didn't always load in in time.

Man I miss Runescape.

I actually really despise this map because everything is so close to each others at the beginning, but then once you get the option to fly it's like this one area is cramped and everything else is nothing but emptiness.

I played from before the first christmas up until RS2 and they made that exchange thing or whatever. I like buying/selling by standing in Varrock and saying stuff in chat a lot better.

I logged in again like 2016 or so and everything was so different it was unrecognizable. I made it to Varrock and it was a ghost town. And if I wanted to switch to old school it would wipe my character so fuck that.

I can tell you had no skill above 70 then. It was absolutely cancer trying to get supplies for shit without getting scammed.

Also just start new if you want the nostalgic experience. Crank volume all the way up, take the time to read dialogue, and then close the game after 20 minutes because you're playing Runescape.

OSRS is just such a completely different beast nowadays no I'm not just talking about the fag shit I can't convince myself it's the same game anymore. Even when I try to go back I just play for like a week and end up saying to myself "this doesn't scratch the itch anymore" and stop again.

I had the same problem, I tried to play a few times but kept bouncing off because too much had changed.

So I just played but only used items and areas that were available in classic, and played this way until I beat Legends Quest. Which was a fun goal that didn't require too much grinding.

After that I treated it as if I had unlocked all of the new content and kept playing.

Oh well, they basically took everything. If I want to play OSRS they'll take my items/skills, and they already took my name.
I keep meaning to look up if there's any rare items I might have had but I don't want to play if I have to grind again and I REALLY don't want to play whatever the fuck the game is now.
I just think of it as a learning lesson not to trust online services. That and Steam is going to block me for having Win 7 which is complete horseshit.
