honestly I think most consoles are ugly as fuck. N64 and Dreamcast aren't bad, but even then, there's an overreliance on curves and circles that give them a childish look. if they had left the feet off the feet off the N64 and used a mold like the Pikachu edition it would've been perfect. PS2 would be great too if it weren't for the stupid grilled cheese sandwich lines and gaudy blue "PS2" on the side. everything else either looks gay or retarded, e.g. gamecube and xbox respectively.

Not super decisive on this, there’s a good few that are about equally good looking to me for different reasons. Most of them I have seen here but not this one. I’ve always found the Famicom to be a good mix of formal and silly with its color pallet and shape.

Pretty much. It combines the Mega Drive and MegaCD into one unit. They also added in a lot of Karaoke functions behind the front sliding door, so it kinda adds in that Karaoke module too.

I was very much a Nintender kid, but I always thought the designs for Sega's 4th and 5th gen stuff looked incredibly slick. It's a tough call between the black Saturn and the Model 2 Genesis, but I'm gonna have to say the Genesis. Plus, I like its library so much. Also, the Sega CD attached to the Model 2 has an odd but appealing look to it, and I've been curious about some of the titles on that.

I like the old toaster overall, but I must say that the gamepad was always the most aesthetically pleasing part to me, I love the red buttons and printed on surface. Its ergonomics are not as nice as its looks though, which is what I'd say the Genesis six button pad succeeds with.
Way back in the GBA days, when Nintendo did that promotional NES retro thing, my brother got an SP with that NES print on it, and I was jelly as fuck because I thought it looked cool as hell and I liked the feel of the print as I held it. I was very happy with my own SP, probably my favorite Nintendo machine, but it wasn't quite as cool.

Yep this one definitely wins hands down. Especially if you are a kid with tiny hands. If not there are attachments you can buy that make if wider so that its more like you are holding a controller which is cool. Only way it could have been even better is if those shoulder buttons were a bit bigger so that you can more easily press them and having the four face buttons would have been perfect. This thing would have been king of the retro handhelds at that point. Oh yeah and needed a fixed soundchip almost forgot that.

The colored N64s are probably the best looking to me. Particularly the green one. The controllers are also awesome.

This one is really something because the plastic is far heavier than the usual ABS. Everyone does special edition consoles these days, Microsoft likes themed ones, Sony likes colors, Nintendo likes minimalist designs with iconography. I think the Nintendo ones are the least interesting.
