>had it as a kid and didn't play D1 until much later
>the cartridge is now gone
cCan't really relate to the D1 kids since I grew up with 2 and don't really have nostalgia for 1

Genuinely one my favorite games ever, I play through it regularly on emulator. Shame about the cartridge, bwygd. How much would it have fetched for these days? It was a PAL copy so I imagine it was pretty rare.

I remember just sitting at the end screen and listening to this over and over

did you ever the hidden level and the best ending as a kid?

I didn't, I was missing the pyramid treasure, but for my defense the clues for it aren't as clear in my language

Never as a kid, lol - I couldn't read English so the clues were lost on me. Had to do it when I grew up and replayed it on an emulator.

that actually isn't true, this is one of the rare ROMs that Wow Roms and such charge a lot of money for (presumably to honor Scrooge McDuck)

I have only played the GB version of the game, I like the way the game sounds. https://youtu.be/LuJiOOq67J0

I wish these games had more enemies from the TV show. 1 had a couple of the bosses, Amelia and the Ball people king I think, but that's still not much and in 2 they were all made up.

They're practically identical, though the map pieces got moved to different places.
>have GB version
>found all the map pieces except the one in Mu
>local video game magazine's Q&A column answers a letter asking where it is
>follow their instructions
>find a secret treasure worth 100k instead of the map piece because the question and answer were for the NES version
Eventually found it on my own, it wasn't that hard to find.

Hugo, Paco and Luis or Juanito, Jorgito and Jaimito?
Giro Sintornillos or Ciro Peraloca?
Glad Consuerte or Narciso Bello?

Funny how Europeans have such nostalgia for the original comics, but for Americans (or at least Gen X and younger), it's all about the cartoon and the comic is rarely discussed (or honestly even known about).

Do the US have a Lustiges Taschenbuch equivalent? In Yurop the LTB are absolute cult especially considering how much comic you are getting for your money. I think these cheap big collections are why the comics are so well known here.

None of the comics were published here until years after, outside of Europe and Asia the Ducktales cartoon was the first time that Disney portrayed it's characters as adventurers since the 70s, to kids born in the USA and other nations during or after 70s these were just comedy characters.

Not really or not at that time, speculator market kinda destroyed the American comic market and the damage has never been fully undone.
