Most people would recommend the PC Engine port/remake of Madou 1 or one of the Game Gear releases of 1-2-3 (both are English translated these days), but honestly I would suggest embracing the more hardcore MSX or PC-98 originals. Them not being translated might seem a bit scary, but it's really not that big of a deal. The only annoyance is the fact that you have to swap disks every time you want to save/load, but emulator savestates make that almost a non-issue.

Cleared Michikusa Ibun. You need to get an umbrella to fall down the holes, which you can only do if you take a series of warps by moving clockwise. Otherwise that shit never spawns. You also gotta cook a bunch of random shit in a pot to get yet another item. Good luck figuring that one out without being able to read.
