Elite Force was more of a movie than a game, and the gameplay was awful. Extremely linear levels, hordes of braindead swarm-type enemies, virtually no difficulty whatsoever, and countless "walking simulator" sequences where all you do is listen to dialogue and solve easy puzzles. The weapons are cool, but because there are only 2 ammo types and some weapons are objectively better than others, you end up using the same 1-2 weapons for the entire level. Klingon Honor Guard is rough around the edges, but at least it prioritizes actual gameplay with oldschool FPS design principles. Even Elite Force 2 is signifigantly better than the first game despite sharing most of its flaws.

Wrong, but it's not that bad either way. Throwing knives in it is fun, and some of the weapons are cool too. The enemy animations make them feel weightless though. It could've used better animators and more time in the oven.

OP said irredeemably shitty. Blasto is pure kuso but it's redeemed by the cartoonishness, Phil Hartman's presence, and the fact that some of the jokes and visual gags are actually kind of legitimately funny.

I beat it on the hardest difficulty. The only parts where I had to reload a few times were the final boss and the scavenger ship because I went guns blazing instead of using stealth like the designers intended. The rest of the game was very easy and it's only like 4-5 hours long too.

>> No.9947085

>>9946634
It was though. Original release in the US was 1997 and was notable for having different English actors than the pre and post fight trash talk than what they had on the TV series for the time. Steve Blum was Goku I think. It was extremely rare even at the time and would fetch very high prices on the secondary market, especially once the series took off over here and people were starved for DB games.

It got a rerelease in 2002 or 2003 with the alternate English voice actors completely removed. The game absolutely sucks ass

Dragon Ball wasn't popular over here so it never went platinum/greatest hits.
My dad's work friend used to copy games for us since we were poor as fuck at the time. Final Bout and Tenchu were the first two he sent over.

Nah, it dropped after it was later reissued with different cover art. It only skyrocketed because DBZ wasn't big yet and so it had a tiny print run. Once the show hit Toonami everyone made a run on it. It's one of those games that got pricey because of non-video game related factors. Consoomers never really cared about it. Still I don't think it ever topped $200 even at it's peak. Funny how inexpensive even the pricey games used to be back then.

Started this up recently and I was surprised how boring it was considering the following it has.
And how does it go from that medieval setting with dragons and shit to the futuristic Nier games? Before trying Drakengard my only exposure to these games is through the FFXIV crossover.

Because at the end of Drakengard, the characters go through a magic portal that takes them and the final boss to our world. The final boss carried a plague or something, and that's how Earth got post-apocalyptic. Yes, that's the actual explanation.

WCW v nWo World Tour
You're either trolling or a fucking imbecile who's played 20 retro games in your life if that's on your list of worst /vr/ games.
While it's not as polished as the 3 AKI wrestling games that succeeded it, it's still a solid wrestling game in its own right. Go play WCW Thunder, WCW Superbrawl or WCW Backstage Assault and then tell me that World Tour deserves to be on a "Worst" list.

You’ve listed most of the good trek games. I’d add A Final Unity, it’s basically 25th/jr but with TNG. I think Star Trek never got enough attention from good developers; it was kind of considered a b-tier gaming franchise and overshadowed by Star Wars back when most of those game were made. I only ever remember elite force having any mainstream pull bc it was an fps. Elite force 2 is pretty good but suffers from too many janky scripted events. I recall having to reload some levels many times because even triggers just didn’t work.

>>9948732

Nigger i have fucking psycho dream on there which i guarantee you like a total of 5% of this board at best has played and even less own.
I could've just thrown another shitty nes game on there but instead i chose the game that gave me the worst n64 experience as a kid. I played it once as a kid and remember just spending 15 minutes hitting the npc and nothing happening because instead of a healthbar you have a spirit bar or some shit. Never touched it again, never going to touch it again.
