Rocko one was disappointing to me as a kid and fan of the show. But understandable knowing they had little knowledge of the show when making it. The lemmings style gameplay is okay, I had some fun with it. Overall it's alright, not terrible but not very good either.

I give them credit for trying to do something different, but if you have a cartoon license which doesn't clearly lend itself to a particular genre, your best bet is to just make a straightforward platformer and lean into the artstyle and settings of the show. Sure you might not have anything great, but getting to experimental with the genre just runs the risk of winding up with a total disaster or something which alienates the kids. And let's face it, if you make a simple, straightforward platformer with recognizable characters, the kids will probably love it.

I think the Rocko game is decent. A lot of the individual animations are based on frames from the show which I picked up on even as a kid and thought it was neat.

For the worst games? There's some really awful Hokuto No Ken games for the Famicom and Super Famicom and they are among the worst I've played. An HnK should literally be the easiest thing to do on the planet too.

I also think most of the Dragon Ball games until the PS2 really suck. For some reason, people rave about Super Butoden 2 even in the west which is weird because I can't imagine anyone over here would have that sort of nostalgic attachment to it (Hyper Dimension is pretty cool though).

i got rocko and krusty's super fun house as gifts as a kid and they pissed me off so bad. i just wanted some dumb platformer to play thru but instead got these puzzlers that were not fun, involved tons of waiting, and were too advanced for me anyway.

Disney games were generally good, whether by SEGA, Capcom, Traveler's Tales, or Virgin who did Aladdin for Genesis. Aside from that there's pic related, The Terminator for SEGA CD, Batman Returns on SNES, Cool Spot, and I guess Coca Cola Kid or something. Maybe Yo Noid too

Worst licensed games aren't hard to find, it's just whatever jank they could outsource to no name developers/publishers at the time. Seems there were more bad licensed games than good ones over the years, but there's enough good ones to easily ignore the bad ones.

it still blows my mind that in USA chip and dale/Darkwing Duck/Duck Tales games on NES never became cult classic.
These game are simply perfect without flaws. Just simple yet high qality games.

In Russia these games have a huge cult. Everybody loves them just like those tv-shows.
But i never NEVER seen anybody praising them.
Never seen videos on youtube with e-celebs discussing them. Why...?

All the Capcom Disney games are very well regarded in the USA and are often considered the best licensed games on the systems. They're beloved enough that there was a collection released for modern systems a few years back, which they usually don't do that sort of thing for licensed games unless they know it's going to sell a ton.
