I've played that one, it's really fun, but I miss games where you actually had to understand the boss's attack pattern and figure out a way to dodge and counter like in old platformer and run'n'gun games.

Rocket Knight, man. I suck at a lot of it, but it's such a damn fine game.

I think the best bosses are the kind where there is more than one way to succeed and player ingenuity is rewarded. Games like Zelda where it's just use certain tactic to defeat enemy who repeats set pattern is pretty boring.
