I've been addicted to this game since it came out for the Sega Saturn in 1997. I've tried to get into the new shit, like SF x Tekken, but I just keep coming back to XMvSF. The only other game that's come close for me is SF3:3S.

Anybody else know that feel?

That is the arcade version, but yeah I go back and forth with filters, sometimes on and sometimes off, depending on my mood.

Good taste, OP. Xmen vs Street Fighter is one of my favorite fighting games. Found a small arcade in Florida that had it and spent about 2 hours playing one night.

Man I love playing MvC2, but all my other friends can't stand the unbalanced nature and chaos. They'll only play MvC3 and Third Strike with me (they're still awesome, but no one else will play and I'm not good enough to go online).

Different style of games that came out at different times. It's a shame that people think every game SNK made had to compete with a new Street Fighter.

Third Strike and MOTW share some similarities, but overall are different games. As an avid tournament attender and competitive player, I can say that only casual players confuse the two.

MOTW has a much more rush-down, in your face style of gameplay, more in tune with say, SVC Chaos than anything else. Where as Third Strike is a very VERY methodical, mindgame-oriented fighter.

2 and 3 are both shitshows, 2 is at least fun because it has tons cool characters. MvC1 is one of the best fighting games ever though imo.
