Goddamn this game is awesome. Among the best looking PS1 games, banging soundtrack, great gameplay...
It's such a shame that the developers were relegated to just churning out Gran Turismo after this.

The gameplay is good but the live action cutscenes are really goddamn fucking cringe. Really didn't fit the feel of the game.

Nah, they were campkino. But I get what you mean, I feel like if they were just Japanese actors doing cheesy mech-tokusatsu shit it would've felt way more appropriate. Or just get rid of the live action altogether and give it a more gritty Armored Core style feel.
