Used to play Constructor when i was a kid, is remake any good?
Portraits look souless, but as mockery of british daily life is there i dont think i mind that much

Thats not what i was saying, "mockery" was done correctly in the game simply because it was britd making fun of themselves. Used to live there for couple of years and they nailed it, its really silly and chill and yet you insist in being rude.

I have no idea it was even remade. I knew this game existed but never felt compelled to play it.

The remake of onstructor holds up pretty well. There are some good quality of life changes without actually modernising the interface.
Oddly, they seem to have not got the memo about it being british in several areas. The currency is $ instead for no good reason for example. The rest of it is still intensely british and the original character voices and sounds are intact.
You also have to go in to the options and turn off all the unnessescary interuptions and voice overs.

Really, it's quite as good an update as you might hope for. Get the most recent version from 2019 if you're going to try it.
