I love that the first 'Staff Roll' has the stage enemies and Mavericks before moving onto the developing team.

I know it's a low-hanging fruit, but Chrono Trigger's best ending with the Epoch is the perfect way to close out such a well-made game.

Most Castlevania endings are good but 4 has my favorite music, and also pic related is just too iconic.

Same, mine are the ones for Neir:A
My favorite /vr/ one is probably Megaman for gameboy, when all the dudes come by to cool music. I think II is the best.

>WHO was that unknown being OPA-OPA fought with, so closely RESEMBLED HIM in shape, and was equipped with THE SAME FUNCTIONAL WEAPON? It was in reality, OPA-OPA's other self.
>Due to THE EMOTIONAL STRESS brought about as a result of A WAR DURING HIS CHILDHOOD, he developed A DUAL PERSONALITY of virtue and vice, unknown even to himself. Only HIS FATHER was aware of this fact.
>SPLITTING into 2 separate BEINGS, he became in addition to his role as the HERO, the enemy's MASTERMIND, thus because of the PATERNAL BOND existing between them, HIS FATHER had NO ALTERNATIVE but to assume the role of THEIR LEADER.
>HIS FATHER sensed that OPA-OPA's PERSONALITY OF VICE plotted to throw the "FANTASY ZONE" into DISORDER. Parasitized by NENONS, OPA-OPA amplified DARK IMPULSE. So, using A REVERSAL WARPGATE called "GESTALT GATE", HIS FATHER made him dive into HIS INNER WORLD and DESTROY THEM ALL.
>As a result of OPA-OPA's courageous VICTORY, the evil being that has dwelled in him are now DESTROYED. Deepy moved, OPA-OPA can no longer contain his TEARS which signify his return to righteousness as they fall. OPA-OPA hopes that war will never occur...AGAIN.

it really is crazy when you think about the technical aspects of it
What was it, eight worlds, with ten or so levels each? And EVERY SINGLE LEVEL introduces at least one new concept or setting? 100%-ing the game is a blissful experience thanks to the concept of stored items in the pause menu, and getting the max score on every level unlocks absurdly fun secret stages, and the ability to play the bonus mini games as much as you want
I cannot name a single 'ugh, this level' moment in the entire game

6 worlds with 8 levels each + a few bonus levels
But yeah, despite having so many levels, almost every single one of them feels unique and the level design never gets stale or repetitive. New concepts are introduced every 2 or 3 levels, yeah.

They absolutely fucking nailed it on the first attempt and then every other Yoshi game after it just pales in comparison.

>> No.9766705

>>9766681
you cannot even imagine my disappointment when Yoshi's Island DS came out, whatever the fuck the game's name was
Everything that made the original great was gone from the new game, 100%-ing the game was now an extreme chore, the music was the most generic, forgettable shit ever, and the levels were too fucking padding out and too long

These credits remind me of precisely why Ado used to be my favorite Kirby character, and why KDL3 was (stylistically) my favorite Kirby game. I'm really not a fan of the Adeleine redesign, the original design is so much better even in-universe and it's not like it couldn't aesthetically exist outside of that game.
