God I love this game, my favorite Final Fantasy that none can compare to.
Can you tell me your favorite part of it? Mine is undoubtedly Galuf fighting Exdeath.

Doing a run where I (try to) only use Knight, White Mage, Black Mage, and Thief. I might not make it all the way, but I'll try to keep going with it as long as I can before I use other stuff.

the world and story of the game is the least interesting of the super famicom ff titles
bartz is the most no personality protagonist outside of the original three 8-bit ff games, think the only time he gets a scrap of interesting dialogue or story is if you make the missable/optional trip to his hometown
music might be the weakest of the three on the console too
but yea the combat is the best out of the sfc games
for some reason being honest about the flaws ffv has makes balding numales angry but w/e

Which girl do you think Bartz ended up with?
I don't know but I feel like Lenna was the lucky one. Many prefer Faris but for some reason I like Lenna better.
You could argue that he stays with the girl from his hometown, but I find it hard to believe that he chose someone with only one dialogue instead of choosing someone with whom he had the adventure of his life.

People like to shit on the GBA one, but it has extra post game content and additional jobs. Applying the patches you mentioned negate just about any criticism people have with it other than the goofy dialog. I say GBA.

as someone who likes FFIV a whole lot, there's a lot of goofy shit in it and the drama can very easily not land with people. Like I personally love it when characters go "IT IS I, BROTHER!!!" but it is admittedly a total asspull in FFIV, same with wishy washy Kain. FFV is a simpler story but succeeds at everything it wishes to do.

Soundtrack i just can't disagree with more, they are both great scores but FFV has some of my favorite songs in the whole series. The music in the rift, the dungeon theme, the boss theme. All just godly.

I don't know, but I really love how the characters look in their sprites. they reflect very well the personality of the characters and are endearing. Just seeing them gives me the idea that I'm going to play an adventure with a simple but beautiful story. On the other hand, the sprites of the characters from the other games give a feeling that I am going to play a super complicated story with characters with personality and designs that feel complicated and empty at the same time.
I don't know, but the FFV fanarts are one of the best things the game has. I feel like the game is soulfull just because of that.
