I'm interested in buying actual genesis and/or snes hardware with a few games (and everdrive) but I live in Europe and want NTSC hardware.
PAL hardware is plenty and cheap, but not interested.
Tried to look for NTSC stuff but cant find much online locally.
What are my vest options?

Sega Genesis in America is way cheaper than Japanese stuff. The prices in Japan are actually insane - like $200 for Sonic and Knuckles insane.

A Japanese Super Famicom would be cheaper but if you factor in the cost of shipping two consoles from opposite ends of the earth, it would proybe cheaper to get an American Super Nintendo. Plus you could modify the cartridge slot and then it can play Japanese games if you really need it to. American games can't be played on a Super Famicom due to the different cartridge shape, and there are quite a few decent games that were never released in Japan like Killer Instinct, Kirby's Avalanche (reskin of Puyo Puyo) and Tetris Attack (reskin of Panel de Pon). Maybe use a store like Lukie Games or something so they'll be shipped together and you only have to pay shipping once.

I'd say go with a PAL MD, its soul. but buy a super famicom, its super mass produced so its still possible to get one cheap (or 2-3 since they break easily).

They literally don't. How the fuck do you break a console?

What the fuck is that supposed to mean?

I have a Super Famicom that I paid about nothing for. It has a defect in the plastic for the case and it got brittle so the grills are broke, but the console works just fine. You just don't know how to maintain the console. Top loading cartridge consoles are easy to maintain. I could understand if you're too young to know how to maintain a front loading NES.

I think there is a mod for Mega Drive to run in 60Hz, so that is a possible avenue to save money. I have a Super Retro Trio which used to go for $60USD and it has a toggle switch on the front for region switching, however I have not tried any PAL titles to say but NTSC works fine with it.

Thats actually interesting, a PAL mega drive 2 costs less than €40. But then I do have to check how to get NTSC games on it.
I'll also check out ebay, never did anything on it before. Thanks everyone.

PAL region is such a headache due to the typical 50hz bullshit.
Back in the day I had a snes, which I sold and bought a ps1 with. Still have the ps1 but PAL.
